This is our favourite place to go my girls and I love it. The food is amazing the atmosphere lovley and friendly the girls love the lucky dip and getting a Teddy.,doll, book or game, the prices can't be beaten the Welsh rarebit is to die for all washed down with a pot of tea and a bowl of water for the dog it's what holidays are made of a gem of a place I would recommend teddy's and teapots to anyone, not many places like this around anymore well worth a visit I hope its still there for my daughters daughters when they have them it's like a family tradition now
Stumbling across this place was a nice little accident. Unfortunately, I wasn't hungry enough for a full meal (though the other diners who ordered it seemed highly satisfied). However, their menu is so huge that I was able to find a nice little nibble--two scones and pot of tea. Plus the prices are really nice so that's an added bonus. Unfortunately, service was a bit neglectful and I had to go to the back multiple times to find the owner to order and get the bill.
The interior is kitschy but I mean that as a compliment! The walls are covered in notices, stuffed bears, and other trinkets. (Though the proximity of some things to the fireplace had me nervous.) They also had a section for used books and clothing for browsing.
What a quirky little place. Passed it many times but never called in. Went with niece and her daughter. Home cooked food and pleasant service. Cream tea was gorgeous. Stuffed to the rafters with teddies, teapots, all dressed for Christmas, some items are for sale. Treat yourselves to something really different and give this place a visit.
