I’ve been here a few times and it’s one of the loveliest pubs I’ve been to. Excellent food, outstanding service and gorgeous interiors. Modern whilst keeping the traditional pub feel. Inside is cosy and warm perfect for Autumn and Winter and it has a gorgeous garden for the summer. Can’t wait to go back.

I've been to this restaurant 2 or 3 times. It's a great venue which is a very old building with a small beer garden near the car park. So we went a couple of years ago and the food was decent. 4 of us went, and the main issue was that there was a new waitress and she spilt 3 glasses of red wine over our table! They were very apologetic and we moved table. I thought it was maybe 3 out of 5 then. We then went again at the weekend. My girlfriend and our 1 year old went. We had a great time. The food was good. The staff were very welcoming and chatty with our boy. The wine was good and so was the IPA. If you are in the prestbury area, there are basically 4 pubs to go to. I would say only 2 are good food (The Kings Arms and Royal Oak). They are quite similar in terms of food. So I would say try both.

Wonderful food & a really lovely atmosphere inside. High quality menu & yet a country pub like feel so it’s a bit more relaxed than you may initially think. The seasons are reflected in the menu as well & I can’t fault any dishes we’ve tried! We look forwards to going back again soon.

Went there for a lunch date with my better half. Lovely place, good food, nice cocktail menu, staff were friendly and welcoming. What more could we ask for! We'd be happy to return.

This is very much my go to restaurant if I want straightforward, VFM, quality cuisine, nothing fancy or pretentious about this place with a very pleasant atmosphere. They also have a reasonable selection of wines with a couple of quality bottles if one wishes to push the boat out. Happy to recommend 😀

That food was delicious. The service was great. Had to take one start off for the mix up with the bill that went back a couple of times. Apart from that everything was great.

Warm welcome from young, but efficient team. Comfortably seated in small anti-room room which was decorated in fresh, uplifting colours. Congratulations to the chef for his well-cooked and plated-up food! Altogether a great dining experience! We'll be back.

Hidden gem! Lovely outdoor garden area with cute wooden huts for a something a little different. Even the interiors do not disappoint. Steeped with history but also met with contemporary design. Don't forget to check out the toilets... The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable and they serve great cocktails! Highly recommend the Pea & Broad bean salad starter and Heritage Tomato main!

Me and my friend came in for a quick drink before heading off to a show and were pleasantly surprised at how tidy and well present this pub was. Lots of parking available and great choice of drinks. We were given a nice little place to sit as seen in the pic below. Great use of space. Thanks for a great afternoon

The restaurant wasn’t full but the atmosphere is fabulous with plenty of space between tables so you don’t feel on top of other people. The service was good but obviously a number of the team members where new. The food was good and wholesome and good value for money but it didn’t hit any high notes for our party tonight.
