We had a lovely meal on Friday evening on the way back from Blackpool with my husband, son and 3 grandchildren. The landlord and landlady made us really welcome and fussed over the 2 youngest of 6 and 3 years who were showing her photos and videos on their phones and YouTube, they were really taken with her, and we had a good chat about what we had been doing and where we were going to. She was very interested, would love to go there again.❤️

Food was fabulous. Really tasty. Great service and friendly staff. Dog was welcome and fussed over. Managed to fill our teenager who struggled to finish his meal...that never happens!

Fantastic food super dog friendly a gluten free delight Found this pub after looking on Google for a dog friendly pub , and have to say it is fantastic super super dog friendly our Rosie got a nice bowl of water and some tripe and was fussed over by the extremely friendly staff, the food is delicious I had the steak burger and a side of onion some onion rings Karen and her mum had gammon chips and egg which also came with salad portions are massive and all of our food was quite simply outstanding, Karen is ceiliac so normally limited on the desert front not here fantastic choice I had new York cheesecake cake Karen's mum had sticky toffee pudding and Karen had chocolate cake with ice cream all delicious, I can't recommend this little gem of a pub highly enough great staff great food lovely atmosphere highly recommended 10/10

My friend and I dined here a few days ago and the food was absolutely top notch, could not fault it at all. The garlic mushrooms (starter) and steak burger (main) were so good. My friend had the battered brie and cranberry (starter) and chicken and leek pie (main) and he said they were also really great! The staff were friendly and attentive and the pub is a cracking little find just off the beaten track. Highly recommended!

Canal side traditional country pub. Good quality local produce, nicely cooked and well presented. Decent sized beer garden and dogs are welcome. Relaxed atmosphere. Menu is of the 'do it small and do it well' school with an additional specials board. Large car park.

Wonderful country pub. Roaring warm fire when we arrived for Sunday lunch. Delicious food and great value. Very friendly staff. Our favourite pub in Lancashire.
