Great traditional country pub with roaring open fire to warm you up. Unfortunately food was not available when we visited due to Covid restrictions. However, menu looked good and plenty of the usual pub standards to be had. Decent pint of local ale so well worth the visit !

Me and my husband came here for a meal last night and I have to say we cannot wait to return. This place has such a lovely atmosphere, the staff are so friendly and accommodating and the food was amazing! 10/10 from us! Keep up the good work.

The best sandwich I have tasted in a long time.
I had the Chicken, Bacon & Brie and it was absolutely delicious.
All the ingredients were top notch, the chicken was moist and tender and the bacon was thick & tasty.
It came with home made chips.

Birthday lunch with my mother-in-law. I forgot what this place looked like it’s been so long since I’ve been here. Not as warmly as I recall. Quite chilly inside and sparse looking. We only had sandwiches and coffee on the day. Food was nice and presented nice. Service slightly slow but one waitress did say they had a party of 10 coming in. But still should be a bit quicker. Don’t think I’ll be rushing back. The place didn’t feel welcoming and warm. We sat near a radiator thinking it would be on but it wasn’t and there were no fires lit. Bit to cold for me.

Friendly and accommodating staff, food ( breakfast and dinner) very good quality. Bedrooms were comfortable but not super luxurious, the hallway outside the bedrooms creaked quite a bit, but in my view added to the character of the place. Overall, a very pleasant place to stay.

Seated in a separate large alcove for our booking for 6 including 2 little ones. Friendly, attentive service, excellent food. Like the side salads in a bowl cos I hate hot lettuce!!

Had a good lunch with my sisters and wife. Good choice of meals on the menu. Just make sure your tummy is empty because you get plenty on your plate. Well worth a visit.

We stayed overnight while visiting relatives. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had an evening meal which was delicious. The breakfast was amazing. Great value for money. Staff all very friendly. Definitely stay again.

Went,sadly, for my daughters mother in law's wake. The staff were wonderful the buffet top notch. And the barman steered me to a warsteiner alcohol free lager on a very hot day. Brilliant but ......
