I came to meet some of my mates for a few pints and was kindly greeted by carman, Charley and Ellie. The service was fast and I enjoyed my visit to this pub. I would highly recommend coming here if you haven’t before.

It's my local and does everything you'd want your local to do, including always being accommodating to families like us. Would be great to see them start doing food again!

We're a pair of oldies who like an early doors mini pub crawl despite being aware this is often a daft thing to do as real ale lovers ( think flat, warm musty ale sat in the lines all afternoon). Not so at the TF; 4 pumps and the beer served was all top notch. Indeed, to serve a Dizzy Blonde as good as the Black Horse is good going.
Staff were friendly and helpful, pub was clean and tidy. Tables outside to 'enjoy' Preston's summer! Pie, peas and gravy just the job. Brill.

Busy evening with two ex Preston footballers on stage for questions. Good night only distraction was noise from other bar which probably couldn't be avoided.

The atmosphere was great, the bar staff were very friendly. The live music was 1st class. The beer was served professionally and good quality.

went in with my partner and little girl and we had a lovely, relaxed family meal. the food was great and ideal when you can't be bothered cooking! also thought it was fantastic that the owner was present and serving the food, even gave our little one some ice cream on the house! she loved it and great to see a present owner who cares about his customers. Will be back for a carvery 🙂

Amazing food as always. Tuesday to Friday there are different offers on and kids meals are great too, even I'd be happy with the size of one of the kids meals. I had bread and butter pudding too and that was really nice.
