Really lovely food and drinks, the vibe is super authentic and generally a great little boutique/independent cafe. Definitely my new regular. Baby friendly and halal!
Had an amazing brunch at lord Roberts on the green
Food, atmosphere and service all was just perfect
Perhaps my new local? I love this place. It's really pretty, and not what it would be assumed it is when looking from the outside. It has a pub type feel on the outside, but a cosy village cafe type feel with stone concrete floors on the inside.
The staff are lovely, and very attentive and approachable. Service was efficient and we were able to stay past our allocated slot time (we had booked prior) for as long as was necessary, for me and my friends very long overdue catch up!
She had the eggs Benedict, I believe or Royal, and I went for a panini with chicken, mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes. Yum. Only thing I would have wanted was for my milkshake to be thicker for the price, but this is something that was made thicker when I asked if it could, so that was something. My friend said that her hot chocolate was AMAZING, she didn't need to add anything else to it, it was perfect.
I can't wait to visit here again, but in particular in the summer months! There is a park opposite too, so it must be really nice then.
There were different cultures, ethnicities and demographics dining, as I looked around, and also this was reflected in the staff too. Beautiful.
The Lebanese evening with the mini mezze platters are amazing - Fri & Sat only, I think, so get down there tomorrow! Their Instagram acct has more details!
Ever so happy I found this gem. It's a cosy and lovely place to meet for brunch, quick catch up or chill.
I reserved a table, which stated 2hours and we ended up staying longer, without any bother from the staff. The hot chocolate was delicious and also the eggs royale.
The staff were lovely, friendly and ever so accommodating. I'll definitely be going back and making this a 'favourite' spot for brunch😊. Parking is great also!
Friendly staff, great atmosphere. I enjoyed the food. Looking forward to going back with friends.
I recently celebrated my mother’s birthday at Lord Roberts, and it was an absolute delight! From start to finish, our experience was fantastic.
The staff deserves a special mention. They were incredibly cheerful, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our celebration memorable.
First time visiting this lovely establishment. Great selection on the menu (especially glad it's all halal). I had the Eggs Florentine and a Hot Chocolate. The eggs were great, but didn't like the drink so much. Will definitely be returning to try some of the other delights
Update July 2022
Have been twice since new management took over. Same menu (except halal) but friendly staff and service much better- offer free water and orders came quickly, and correctly. Good vegan options. Better seating outdoors with umbrellas on the tables. Exciting events like crocodile adventures.
Prices are pretty much the same as the other local cafes/brunch places we go to like Dobbies Woodcote green, but in a lovely quiet areas. Will definitely visit again !!
Niche coffee shop in Webb Estate
