Great place! The heart of purley. Always good food and friendly staff. A chain, but an exceptional link on the chain. A shame it's in Purley really, my area, that has gone down hill in recent years.

Good family restaurant, well equipped with a children's menu, and an extensive selection of Pizzas. Opt for the Romana if you're a fan of thin crust. The salad pizzas is only worth it if you're hell bent on eating exceptionally light, since it's almost the same price for an entire pizza! The dessert selection is good & the salted caramel ice cream was rich and heavenly.

Really impressed by the quality of the food, and particularly by how careful our server Leanne and the chef were in ensuring that my dietary needs (coeliac and food allergies) were met correctly. I was able to swap pizza toppings for ones which I was able to eat, and Leanne checked everything so that we were both certain that the food was safe for me.
I really appreciated Leanne's care and attention to detail, and likewise the chef's concern that ingredients were OK for me.
A big 'thank you' to all involved in ensuring that we had an excellent meal tonight! xx
We had a lovely family meal here! It was a Saturday so busy but we were served quickly and everyone was very friendly! The food was great, as always!
Visiting from the US, and since we also have a pizza express I figured I needed to try the British version. It did not disappoint!! The pollo pesto and bruschetta was so flavorful. I can see why it was busy! Despite the crowd, the customer service was phenomenal, I had the pleasure of speaking to Rebby. She always checked in on me and my friends making sure everything was good and bringing us whatever we needed without hesitation. Whenever I come back to the UK I will be sure to stop by again!
Visited a couple of months ago and was unable to gain entry as wasn't step free access. My daughter is a wheelchair user and the restaurant had no ramp. I emailed the duty manager Rebby who was very apologetic and keen to resolve the issue. I visited today after being informed a ramp had been purchased and now delivered. Very impressed with how Rebby dealt with purchasing a ramp making pizza express accesible to all. The meal we had today exceeded expectation and our server Leanne was amazing. Thankyou so much for listening and taking the appropriate steps to welcome disabled diners.
The food was amazing and the service was fantastic! Specially Rebecca who was very helpful and attentive.

Great, caring staff with great food. I am celiac (gluten free) and felt confident in the staff that I could be accommodated - much appreciated from Canada!
I went in with family for dinner yesterday evening around 6pm, we were greeted by the lovely server leanne she sat us on our table she was really helpful with the recommendations and really enjoyed our dinner leanne made us really feel welcomed and it made us very comfortable, the atmosphere was amazing, the rest of the staff was brilliant and I do recommend coming to Pizza Express Purley and I will happily return again.
Food was great, service even better. Waiter , I think he was Spanish, and manager , young with glasses, made us feel extremely welcome. we’re knowledgeable about gluten allergies and ensured my daughter had a safe happy meal.
The food was amazing and the service was fantastic!!! Tony made sure we were well taken care of, we will be back soon!
