The Jewel In The Crown

We visited the Jewel in the crown tonight as a family of 5. We love a good curry and are often sceptical about trying new places, however we are on holiday so had to take a stab in the dark and they did NOT dissapoint. They were extremely welcoming and fantastic with young children there customer service was outstanding. As food the food it was exceptional! We would highly recommend and hope to come back and visit again in the future!

Really enjoyed our visit to The Jewel In The Crown. Service was quick and the dishes we tried were amazing. Our teenage son said his Chicken Tikka Masala was the best he’s ever tasted! I had the chicken curry which really was delicious. The staff were very attentive & manager was a real friendly character & made us feel very welcome. Definitely a place to try if you’re in the area.

Once again the food was very delicious, no problems at all. Soft drinks were warm. I ordered 2 extra poppadoms which I didn't get, but I was charged for. Some customers where told if they paid cash they would get a 10% discount by one owner, (which we were told about last year) When we asked the other owner, we were told it was NHS staff etc I told him I had recently retired from the NHS after 43 yrs of working as a nurse. He said I needed a card for proof!! This needs sorting. Otherwise we had a lovely family meal together with good food.

This place came recommended by some local people we talked to. We ordered a lot of food for 7 people and everything was beautifully cooked and incredible taste. The staff when ordering over the phone and then meeting them in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. Honestly, I couldn't recommend them enough. You'll not be disappointed. If we're ever back this way, this will be on our list for food again. Yum!

Great food and great prices. Have been visiting North Wales for my partner's 30th birthday and we really fancied an Indian. The Jewel was perfect. Had a great draught pint of Cobra and some poppadoms and chutneys to start before we tried the shared starter platter for 2, butter chicken, garlic naan and plain rice. Was all thoroughly enjoyed and if we:re ever here again, we'll make sure we pop in!

They got the main part right which is the food. All the food was delicious. The curry was full of flavour and the meat was fresh and tasty. No complaints at all. The restaurant itself, however, needs sprucing up. They don't have table cloths on any of the tables and the toilets were extremely shabby. Would be nice if the waiting staff looked the part too as they were all wearing their own clothes rather than a nice uniform as you would usually see in Indian restaurants. All the staff were very friendly though.
