A lovely relaxing stay for 2 nights, warm welcome on arrival. Rooms lovely and bed comfortable. Breakfast was hot and plenty with plenty of tea, coffee and orange juice. The area was quiet and although pub based no loud music or drinkers. Would definately use again if in the area.

A friendly welcome stop on a journey, we relaxed straight away. It's a home from home kind of place. A good place to base yourself for visiting other areas and historic sites. We have returned many times and will do again.

Stopped at the Bay Horse for one night as we were competing in an event based at Thirsk. The food was excellent and the room was clean and comfortable. There was a really good atmosphere in the bar too. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. I'd have no hesitation about stopping there again.

Met friends staying hear had a fantastic meal Best Stake pie I've had in ages,all had deserts all very nice, also nice pint of theakston's served there to. Friendly chilked out place and nice people running it will definitely be going back.

Visiting a relative who has recently moved to the delightful village of Rainton, we went to The Bay Horse Inn for the first time and found it an exceptionally enjoyable experience. The evening meals were superb, served with a smile by Katie and the overall ambience was most cozy and comforting. We will definitely be patronising it many more times and would thoroughly recommend it.

On our 4th visit. Food good as every other visit. ie lovely. room clean tidy. it is an old building so expect creaking floor boards but definitely will be returning

Had a beautiful meal the chicken skewers with chilli dip and fish pie with veg my friend had prawn cocktail and steak pie all to die for staff very friendly felt comfortable 5 atars
