Golden Fish Bar

We meant to post this review much sooner but it's better late than never!!!! Every time we travel from London to Ramsgate we make sure that we head straight to this great chip shop for lunch.  We have tried many of the other chip shops in the vicinity and in the main shopping area of Ramsgate and they simply do not compare. It's a family run business (father & son) that has got to rate as one of the most friendly chip shops in the entire United Kingdom. The food is always cooked fresh and is absolutely delicious, the prices are extremely fair, the portions are enough to satisfy the most voracious of appetites and service is habitually given with a most welcome smile. We usually go for a large portion of fish bites with plenty chips but we will be trying the scampi and calamari the next time we visit this fantastic chip shop.  You should also know that these good people can also coat your fish and other food items in SOUTHERN FRIED BATTER which is awesome so why don't you give it a try - it makes a surpisingly tasty alternative to conventional batter!!!!!!!!  All you need do is request this different genre of batter when placing your order. We simply cannot believe some of the negative reviews given my some of the other reviewers as we have used this chip shop at least five times and we have always been provided with excellent quality food.  We cannot wait to sample our next food order which will be in the coming weeks.  If we could give more star ratings over and above 5 then we would as this chip shop truly merits a rating over and above the formal ratings scale.
