Love the new place. Epic local craft beer selection, bloody brilliant Pizzas (we had the pepperoni, could have eaten any on the menu) and beautiful views. Can even get the open top bus from Ramsgate Harbour (Summer only) Well worth a visit.

Multi vibe place, relaxed enough for a drink on your own to people watch, read a book or enjoy a pizza. Right up to full on party mode for larger groups, music, pizza. Great music and pedalos in use on the pool.

Didn't have food as such (youngest had ice cream) so can't rate that side but service was great and friendly considering the masses of children running around (we had gone up there on the last day of school with my daughter's friends)

Updated 4yrs later to add that nothing has changed. Met friends for breakfast this morning. Quality, service and cleanliness were no different at all. Still a really lovely place! Roast dinner with all the trimmings plus a dessert for under £12. Really generous portions (including 4 thick slices of meat!), food was really lovely, and plenty of gravy as well. Friendly staff, clean and tidy inside, and very dog friendly. Lovely place!

Took the open-top bus from Broadstairs and we had breakfast after spending some time on the pool. Good, fun morning.

No-doubt really great for a pint in the sun but for me, it's another example of a fantastic venue in Ramsgate, with LOADS of potential, just not being utilised as effectively as it could be. Why no music outside? Why do I have to traipse over to the other side to get a pizza? Why do beers/ gas frequently run out? Why is there often a queue at the bar? Why not serve up some gourmet snacks? Why not use the rest of the large internal space for something cool like a pop-up shop or juice bar or something? It's just desperate for either the council to relax any regulations or whoever runs it to turn it up a notch.

I first came here as a young boy on holiday (65 years ago, don't tell anyone) and have been here many many times since. Yes I know there have been changes and the main one I see now is the pizza counter and wow are they good, last visit I went for the meat pudding, yummy!

I loved where and how it was. Lots of character and clean where it needs to be. Renovations need in places. The cafe itself had indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the Boating pool. Lots of food on offer and everything I saw looked good. I had 2 of their bacon baps and they lived up to their reputation, perfectly cooked and very fresh baps too. Salvas order was jacket potato with tuna and sweetcorn with a side of cheesey chips , as normally jackets are not too big. Wrong, it was a huge well filled potato, he struggled to finish. The staff were all friendly and service was very quick even though most of the tables were occupied. A big fuss was made of our dog and biscuits provided too. The other great thing is a model boat group that meet at the pool every Sunday and Thursday. It was great entertainment. A huge range of models from a surfer to a high speed racer.

Quaint little location overlooking the sea. Food was as good as the prices. Only went for lunch but the night time menu looked inviting, will definitely go back.

It's a cool place. Many many years ago it was a monkey sanctuary, then it changed hands multiple times. It was a kids play zone for years but that fell into disuse. Now it has been taken over by Gadds beer and also makes amazing pizza. The location is awesome overlooking the sea with the boats floating on the lake. It has loads of seats and tables on the grass. The beer is great, the view great, the location is great. Parking is free and easy. Have a lovely time.

Friendly staff and chilled atmosphere. Breakfast got a thumbs up from the boyfriend. Vegetarian breakfast could do with more items but otherwise hot and tasty

When I first arrived here I was a little bit underwhelmed. The water is a dark blue / black colour and reminds me of toilet cleaner. There was pond weed piled up and cooking in the sun. The place looks like it needs sprucing up and a bit of investment...That said, my experience here was very nice! Quite a unique setting to sit and enjoy a beer or two with the family. Kids were happy, adults were happy, the weather was nice and the beer was good. Nice to sit outside and have some music in the background for a change. The toilets were being renovated but still were decent. Plenty of character in this old place and hopefully a bright future ahead. Great views out to sea also. Definitely recommend this place for a relaxing and unique place to enjoy a cold beer in the sun while the kids play 👍
