Our first time at Thai Corner and it was brilliant. Food was amazing, the restaurant was busy but they accommodated our walk in booking and all the staff were lovely and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend and we would go back in a flash.

Incredible authentic Thai food with great service. Every dish was flavoursome and seasoned very well.
The crispy salt and pepper squid was fried beautifully - perfectly tender and crispy yet not greasy. A lovely sweet chilli dipping sauce massively enhanced the taste of the squid. Simply delicious.
Both the lamb massuman curry and green curry with prawns were rich, smooth and creamy. They went extremely well with their fragrant coconut rice and completely elevated the meal to another level. I have to stress how impressed I was by the tenderness of the lamb, it was impeccable. Both curries were very mild which differs from the traditionally spicy green curry. I think this flavour doesn't just suit the masses here, but is also enjoyed by Thai people. It's really worth a try if you're in town!
To finish off, we ordered 3 scoops of ice cream - mango, green tea and Thai milk tea. The mango and green tea ice creams tasted fresh and refreshing which were my favourite of the three.
The service was quick and friendly. It was a lovely restaurant to dine in, it's just a shame that the ceiling was a bit low and seemed a little claustrophobic.
Overall, the meal was very enjoyable. The only thing that the restaurant could improve on was probably their stir fry morning glory - the flavour was not fully absorbed into the Vege.
Other than this, everything was brilliant! I'd 100% come back here the next time I'm in town!
Review update: still love most of the foods, though this time we tried beef with red curry and the beef were a little tough to chew. The sizzling pork neck were not the most tender pork neck either. Unfortunately had to knock off a star because of this.
However, I tried their special cocktail and desserts this time and thoroughly enjoyed them.
I’d still come back here when I’m next in town. I just have to stick with chicken and prawns as the protein choices.

Been coming here 14 years. We have always enjoyed the food. Tonight their new chef has taken it to another level the flavours are authentic. Tenderly cooked for full taste. All I can say is wow!!! I will add more photos later.

The restaurant itself has a good ambience with balanced interior with dark and amber light which is not bad for the eyes. Lots of choices in the menu. The food was delicious and the serving is just right for one person. You have to book in advance since they have lots of diners and also orders from online. Lovely staff as well 👍🏻

Atmosphere is so-so because they are extreme busy on a Monday evening!!! Everything is spot on, even the dish is wrong, but we accept it only because we don't want the staff to be blamed. However the dish is surprisingly good and we are so glad that we didn't return it hahaha. Nice food quality as always for the last 7 years !!!

Absolutely wonderful place to dine, myself and my partner had an excellent time here. To start we had the Chicken Satay and Kanom
Jeeb, both of which were delicious. Next was the Ped Med Mamung which was mouth watering, though so filling I couldn’t finish it, and the Kao Pad which was also a great dish. As others have stated, one dish of rice is plenty between two people, and some of the main dishes I would say are also enough to share between you. It is extremely filling and also very delicious, with a wonderful atmosphere and excellent, attentive staff.

Our usual Thai eatery, Bolan Thai was busy, so we decided to try the Thai Corner out... well, what can I say..I would be tempted not to return to our usual. Food was authentic, portion sizes generous and the place was buzzing.. even a bit chaotic, but in a nice way. Everything we ordered was great. Service was fantastic and those guests without reservations had to wait 30 Minutes or more. So, plan well! Costs including drinks could go upto £30 per person

Definitely will be visiting again. Lots of choices in the menu, so don't just go with Red or Green curry. We had their first choice lemongrass seabass and stir fried pork belly. The bowl of rice is probably enough for two. If you want to experience more than two dishes, you would need a bigger table.... Absolutely nice vibe and very authentic Thai cuisine

My family have had a wonderful experience dining here, even there are only 1 hours until they close down, they still serve us with fantastic attitude and tasty food. Definitely recommend and will come again shortly👍

If you ask for authentic Thai food I’d recommend this one. As I’m Thai and sometimes lazy to cook this place is perfect! Good service, great food, amazing papaya salad, noodles bowls, meat dishes, fish dishes every dishes is so flavourful. Just tel staff know that you need Thai people flavour dishes, you will be amazed!
Ps: they also have 20% offer for eat out & help out during COVID - awesome

The place was busy when we arrived without a reservation, but they got us a table right away. Like in so many places in the UK, asking for a dry martini creates confusion, so the wifey simply asked for a glass of gin (which arrived with a wedge of lime, and that was OK). The wine list was short but seemed reasonable, and the New Zealand pinot noir that we ordered was OK. The wifey ordered duck with noodles, which was a little bit dry, but not excessively so, and was found quite tasty. My Panang beef and brown rice was quite all right. The surprise was the espresso, which was quite good. Overall we were quite pleased, and four stars is perhaps a bit high, but not unreasonable.

This was my first time to Thai Corner. I was disappointed with my dinner based on the positive reviews it received and the quality of my food.
I ordered a chicken curry and drunken noodles. The curry was cold and they reheated for me. The taste was heavy and sweet. The chicken didn't taste fresh. The drunken noodle was better but still unsatisfying. It was supposed to be spicy but didn't feel much heat. It had a mild soy sauce taste but lacked any other flavors.
I have eaten Thai food in many places on several continents. This is not my first time eating Thai in UK (in fact one of the best Thai food experiences I had was in London) so I know that the food flavor at Thai Corner is not indicative of the U.K.
Service was great however, very attentive and friendly. I asked for my curry to be reheated and there was no fuss about it.
Perhaps I had an off night at the Thai Corner.

I visited just today. Welcomed by a beautiful smilling face... What else you want! Good food, good decor... Good location... I found my fave japanese tempura (non thai dish)... Price is also reasonable!

Excellent! I only had Thai food from Wagamama in Reading before. Today, I ordered through Deliveroo and food was epic! My prawn on toast was mesmerising, pad Thai was so tasty! All in all, 9/10. If I would change something, that would be a little bit more food on the main dish. Saying that though, I am far from hungry now... Highly recommended, my new favourite Thai restaurant in Reading!

5 guys, business, walked in and ordered 5 Singha and asked the waitress to feed us. No allergies and no preference but we wanted to be fed as if the waitress were serving her grand parents and wanted to impress them.
Wow, is a good start. Excellent food and we are all happy, full and ready for another Singha.

Great and extensive menu which can be downloaded from their website in advance.
Starters were incredibly poor value when you look at the price for them however we were more than satisfied with the value, size, taste of the mains one each and a couple of rices (boiled and egg-fried) to share plus a Thai Papaya Salad and a traditional bowl of Pad Thai at the end though I was surprised when they brought it out with the rest of the dishes as I had asked for the Pad Thai to come towards the end of the main meal.
One of our mains was the Sea Bass which was gorgeous and done to perfection and you can tell it was good as we couldn't stop eating though we were all full.
Good wine list and we went for the Sancerre that was good (restaurant) value at £20 a bottle.
One of the best Thai's I've had a long while and that's saying something seeing the amount of Thai's I've eaten especially in Brighton & Hove!

On a quiet night, I was expecting better service, and frankly, better food. Instead, I felt like I was ignored. It took too long to get a waiter's attention to take my order and waaaaaay too long to get them to bring over the credit card machine. I sat for more than 10 minutes, trying to catch an eye.
My Pad Thai with prawns ("shrimp" in American) portion was small, but not excessively so. I think that if I had chosen to have an appetizer, I might have been satisfied. Instead, the four shrimp (they call them that for a reason) hiding in the noodles wasn't nearly enough. I found the Pad Thai rather bland. Very little spice in there. Perhaps they thought the American couldn't handle it, but this was way too mild. I could taste the peanuts and that's about all.
Presentation was excellent and the decor is lovely but I probably won't be back.

In my opinion the best Thai food in Reading.
Eaten in here quite a few times and although the place is can be a little cramped and definitely gets very busy at weekends ( recommend booking) service is quick and friendly.
Food is the main criteria and and I love the Pad See Iew with beef.
try to avoid getting seated upstairs as it's a little soulless, feels like you're eating in someone's living room, but at least it's a bit more spaced out.
Also highly recommend takeaway which we've always found reliable and even on bust nights arrives within 45 mins.
Overall 4.5 stars.

Thai Corner in Reading was nice. We were seated at the bar until a table was setup for us. After looking at the drink menu at the small bar area we were seated. The place is a bit small but they will break a bigger table down in our case to accommodate. I ordered the sharing starter which came with chicken satay, fish cakes, spring roles and prawn on toast.
For my main I ordered Pad Kee Mow, which was supposed to be a bit spicy, but i think it could have been spicier. The food was nice and the service was good. I would add Thai Corner to my list of places to eat when visiting Reading again.

I got take out at Thai Corner during my week long work trip to Reading. Upon walking in, I was greeted to friendly staff who took my order and showed me to the minibar to sit at. I waited about 20 minutes to get all my food - main course, egg rolls, etc which isn't too bad considering the place was packed.
The food tasted great and wasn't too greasy. I will definitely revisit when I go back for work.

this is a fair be to have thai food. The restaurant is conveniently situated in town near the station, so you can always grab a meal before getting your trian.
the food is ok but not impressive at all. It does taste authentic, with the generous usageof kaffir lime leaves, thai basil and lemon grass. The food is mild compared to autentic thai food.
The servie that i have received in this restaurant is generally good and the waitresses were attentive. the election of the food was good and you can always ask for spiciness to be increased or decreased according to your preference.

The food is very nice, however sometimes the service can be a little bit slow.
There is alot of choice on the menu and quite often it's hard to choose a dish (as you have 3 or 4 you are deciding on).
The staff there are always very friendly no matter how busy it is.
