Had breakfast here today. The food was delicious and the building is stunning. The service is friendly and welcoming and the vibe is really nice. They have an amazing selection of beers from Siren and Double Barreled, and loads of seating, so I am looking forward to coming back here in the evening. I really hope this place does well. It took a while for our food to arrive but it was well worth it.

Lovely location, next to a weir. Great in Summer if you fancy taking in the sun over a couple of drinks. Interior is very smart and the new management are certain to maintain the high service standards.

We loved, loved our room, great size with a huge bathroom . Dinner is one of the best we've had in 2 weeks. The broccoli Stilton cream soup was literally to die for. We wanted to lick the bowl. Please if you get a chance, take a ride on the Narrowboat. (Not actually a boat, but right on the river.

What a stunning building. The Victorian’s knew how to build a lovely space even if it was going to house a pump for the canal. Friendly staff, gorgeous room, great cider, outstanding food (dinner and breakfast) and all at a very reasonable price. Couldn’t be happier. We will be back again.

A great place for meal and drinks with helpful staffs and a restricted free car park. Our party of six adults and three children enjoyed lunch one afternoon on a sunny Saturday afternoon in September. The food and beer were of good quality but unfortunately service was not that attentive even though the restaurant was about 25% full. Several times we had difficulty in catching the eye of waitresses, they don’t make eye contact very often. My Americano coffee and the milk were both served luke warm whereas I’d particularly requested to make them both ‘hot please’. Oh how much I missed Cafe Nero! However, the ambiance was great and place was neat and tidy.

Visited for our wedding anniversary and they didn't disappoint. The name and management has changed, with a few updates to the decor. I'm not sure about the new lampshades but the quality gastro pub food has been retained. There may be a brewery name in the new title but this is not a weatherspoons it is still a special dinning experience.

Calling all boaters… berth here and enjoy a drink (or two) at the bar. The foods not bad either (enjoyed staters in the bar and a lovely fish and chips here the other day). Recently refurbished and newly opened in August 2023 - the perfect place to pull in, moor-up and spend an evening before heading out on to the Thames. We even revisited on our way back down the Kennet-Avon. Lovely, helpful staff and beautiful new bar area with a plush vibe and chilled atmosphere. Support this great bar-restaurant with a visit (plus it’s only a 10 minute walk from the town centre or Tesco (in the other direction).

Lovely bar /restaurant on the river with great outdoor space. Room was lovely and spacious , although sink had a large crack in it , also outside door bangs . Breakfast was good
