Excellent food with a variable set of flavours unlike some buffet Asian food we have had. Our teenagers loved the subtle taste in contrast to strong lamb curry.
This place has to be tried.
Only point of complaint is the cool air of the restaurant.
We found the staff to be friendly and relaxed to be with, and even interactive by giving our teenagers a lesson in the art of napkin presentation for them to try.

A good Nepalese restaurant offering the usual "Indian" dishes plus a few others. I've eaten here many times. The Sunday buffet is especially good value at lunchtime and early-mid afternoon and you can see the family eating the same food as you have. My last visit was on a Thursday and we thought the food was not up to their normally high standard. A previous visit was late on a Sunday (the buffet had finished) and our dishes were excellent.
Standard is still a very decent Curry house in Reading, after twenty two years I have been away. Judging by how busy they are, others probably think the same. Service was quick and courteous, even when they were busy. As for the food, well what can I say? Delicious and authentic. Thoroughly recommend their special Biryani and Tandoori mixed grill.
We held our wedding lunch there a few years ago. Great food, great service and great prices! We were treated to sample some dishes for free before we made the booking.
Have been going here all my life with my parents coming here before I was born. This place always serves the best curry, everything always tastes great and fresh. Other places claim to be the best curry house in Reading and although the Standard Tandoori may not be the most snazziest or stylish place it certainly makes up with the food which in my opinion is the best out there
The owners are always friendly and cordial when I do pop in for a visit. I tend to always order here for special occasions and they have never disappointed. Best curry and momo in Berkshire hands down.
We had a party of 23 1/2 people having the full works of individual starters, mains, sides and sundrieson Wed evening. The food was excellent and the staff really looked after us. Fantastic evening! Thanks
One of the best curries in Reading. I've been coming here for at least 10 years and it's never wavered. A couple of unusual dishes and all the usual crowd pleasers. Fantastic.
My cousin and his family took me here for the first time and i can't fault it staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was top quality and delicious best curry in reading by far definitely will go here again and i highly recommend it!!!
We enjoyed a family meal here which was fantastic. They also served the coldest beer! Would highly recommend a visit here for any curry fan.
