Food very well presented and full of flavour, good portion size. Nice friendly atmosphere, with live music, which was very good, hope to visit again soon to eat and listen to the music. Well worth a visit, go give it a try.
Went here after visiting. The pub is beautifully decorated. There's a great choice for everyone on the menu and the roast of the day was excellent. Highly recommend a visit here.

Dropped by for a Sunday carvery, despite the rain, it was still a pleasant afternoon, we sat out back under a large gazebo style shelter as it was still warm out. Lunch was a carvery style affair and was also cooked to perfection (for me), definitely would go again.

Had a lovely meal on Sunday, food was lovely I personally think there should be a few more options for the carvery (more veg options, mash potato) but again good was lovely. Bar lady was lovely too very accomodating I had a 148mile drive home and my phone was about to die and she happily put it on charge for me!

Food was amazing. Was a quality roast dinner. Love the fact they do carvery everyday. And not the mention the portion size for the price I paid was outstanding. Also thank you to Keira for the wonderful service. Will be back soon.
The Angel hosted our wedding reception on Saturday 17th June and our review is perfect. We really couldn't have asked for more. Everything was just spot on as I imagined and knew it would be. They catered for 50 people with a full on carvery and deserts. The food came out presented beautifully and promptly. The service was amazing. We had a buffet for another 50 guests on top in the evening and again the Angel delivered a beautiful buffet with hot and cold food which our guests loved. With a special thank you to Sandra, Alan, Andy and all the team who went above and beyond to make our day so special in every way.

Was recommended to visit this place for lunch by one of the locals as we were visiting from London for the weekend and staying up the road.
We had sautéed mushrooms starter, beef Wellington and rib eye steak for mains.
Absolutely fantastic food, well made, well presented and well eaten.
Staff are very friendly and fitted us in without a booking.

Excellent meal, lovely staff, great prices. If I had to make a tiny weeny complaint it would be it wasn’t hot but that’s just me. The gravy was to die for!!
Went in for a meal with old friends. Staff were friendly and accommodating when we asked to move tables.
