Even though the service this time was very slow the manager compensated us with complimentary pizzas which was so kind she didn’t have to! As regulars we always get fast, efficient and friendly service, I think it was a one off. The food is always lovely and reasonably priced! We always return back for a quick dinner or lunch.

Easily the best place in Reading for pizza.
The dough is awesome, does not leave you bloated and the tomato sauce is excellent.
Sometimes the pizza can feel soggy in the middle, just ask them when you order it to cook it an extra min and you’ll be fine.
Definitely recommend you try this over express prezzo or zizzi.

I was positively surprised by this place. I know it's a chain restaurant and I went years ago with my friend in Oxford and again with my boyfriend in Reading but the pizzas were really good and made with care. They were some of the best Italian pizzas I had in the UK, glad to know there are places like this! I also had an affogato icecream and rasberry sorbetto. All great!

I come here frequently. It’s great for a quick pizza, nice rustic pizza base and interesting toppings. All made with good quality ingredients. The staff are good and sitting outside beside the river in the evening is a bonus.

Went to Franco Manca in Reading. I was there earlier but they accommodated me. We hadn’t booked but it was cool. The service was great attentive but not over bearing. The wine and food was good. The atmosphere is nice but probably the service was the best, I would recommend. The staff are actually lovely. The food arrived in a timely manner and we were all happy. Great night.

Been here so many times with both Italian and non Italian friends and always got served an amazing pizza. The specials change so often that you are always guaranteed to have a new pizza to try with great fresh ingredients. Also a special thanks to our server Jacob that helped us picking the right wine and starters. Highly recommended

Lovely place serving sourdough pizza. The ingredients taste so fresh and authentic, we will keep coming back regularly. Plus surprisingly much lower prices than the other pizza places in town. Really nice staff too!

Sat outside, pizza was great and well priced. Lovely Italian waitress was very friendly. Needs a bit more to the menu but happy because usually a loaded menu means less quality. Coming again!

Went here after going to the cinema, really fresh delicious pizza. Often feel bloated and fat after pizza but not here. Ada was lovely to me and my friends and service was rapid.
Only wish the chairs were a bit softer.

I've been twice already in this restaurant!
The only thing I have to say is I LOVE IT!!
The first time I ordered pizza number 8 and a garlic bread, and was delicious..
In my second visit, I ordered pizza number 5 with beautiful anchovies,and a chocolate and hazelnut cake with vanilla ice cream and was supreme!!!
The only thing in this place is a bit difficult to understand is the drinks menu, not very clear and also they serve the wine in a water glass which is just unprofessional but everything else lovely.
Definitely, I will go back again soon

I like Franco Manca for the original dough they have, and the pizza itself is reasonably priced. I wish the ingredients on the pizza were more evenly spread, as it is tiresome to chew the dough on its own. I wish there was slightly more of the ingredients as well, as there was hardly any ricotta on my pizza no. 4. I am, however, disappointed with the price of the starter... a little piece of bread with a ball of mozzarella is almost as expensive as the pizza! And it is really nothing special... I am not sure if the 10% service charge added to your bill goes to staff as they were nice, but seemed to be a little bit bored (there were only about 4 or 5 tables with guests so really wasn't busy).

Nice pizza, great service they ask you about allergies. 4 stars because the Parimigano was made with tinned tomatoes and the cheese was not enough on the dish. The aubergines were undercooked as well. Definitely not ordering that again.

For a good Pizza - this is the place! Usually I dont like chain restaurants and prefer the experience of a small Italien restaurant. But this time we decided to go for lunch to Franco Manca and I had the tuna Pizza, which was a quite good experience. Only point deduction was that the dough was not so tasty and the presentation of the ingredients was loveless. The tuna still had the form of the can and as you can see on the photo the onion is not really cut.

Ordered a takeaway from UberEats. All items were perfectly delivered (fresh and warm!). Being a vegetarian we ordered the veg items from the menu. The Veg Special 501 stole the show, not sure if it was the caramelised onions or the pesto but it creates this unique explosion of flavors in the mouth which will keep bringing you back to the place. I usually don't eat mushrooms and forgot to mention it as a note so this came with mushrooms and I liked it as it did not affect the taste. Loved the burrata. The garlic bread and Pizza 1 was ok. Wish they did a veg diabolos as I do love aubergines and spices on pizza but couldn't find that on the menu. Highly recommended! Will definitely order again and plan to visit once it reopens.

Delicious authentic pizza, would recommend! Lovely atmosphere too. They say the chicken and lamb sausages are halal, which are also used on the pizza so do enquire. Wonderful service at the beginning, very on-the-ball, but became slower and inattentive later on - we had to go up to the front to ask for the bill after waiting 20 minutes. Choc and hazelnut cake was lovely, however the mint tea was undrinkable as the water smelt oddly like rotten eggs and the leaves hadn't brewed at all.
