Handy for residents in the Thames Valley, Oxfordshire and West Berkshire. The entrance is on the ground level so try to park at the lower level in the car park. Usual IKEA maze to wander around but plenty of snake and ladder type shortcuts for the seasoned IKEA fans to speed up their expedition. Both the market place and the self service area feel smaller than some other stores so you probably want to carry out a stock check online before visiting. Airy and stylish restaurant, special discount on certain dishes and free tea and coffee (weekday) for the IKEA family card members so don't forget to bring along the orange card.

No words to describe this place. A very well maintained furniture shop. It's like walking through a puzzle to find treasures. The place is very crowded and the presence of an amazing cafe upstairs acts as a great incentive to lure people. There is a lot of furniture to choose from and I was awestruck by some amazing themes. You can also find things like strawberry jam, and biscuits sold by IKEA in this shop. Parking is a bit hard as the bay is always crowded with vehicles.

While not exceptional, the quality was certainly on par with the price range, offering good value for money. I hate ikea, I always buy stuff I don't need. also generally they are full of people I'd normally avoid which is clearly my issue. the Reading version is a bit better than most honestly and I kind of enjoyed it, staff courteous, food in canteen decent and was quiet (Thursday). take a deep breath and go for it, be prepared to leave things st the checkout you don't really want.

Being totally honest I am not a huge fan of IKEA but in all fairness the Reading branch and experience was very good. The store is colossal in size and set out in a particular way. Fortunately our daughter knew exactly what she wanted and where it could be found within the store saving a huge amount of time searching through the different rooms. Our daughter was well pleased with her purchase and my wife found a couple of items for our house which are really spot on. Overall a worthwhile visit and in the scheme of things and enjoyable as well as profitable one.

Not my favourite IKEA I'm rather spoilt with the Southampton IKEA. Parking on the opposite side of the road to the main entrance and exit so take care wheeling all your clobber back over to the car park. Very frustrating as a lot of items had no pricing stickers, all just left blank. Had to keep scanning things on the App. Overall ok. Got the bits I needed.

I think it is very difficult to review or write about Ikea that is not already written. Reading Ikea is located in a more lively place as compared to a few others (Croydon. ) The layout could be a bit different, like the kitchen accessories are in the ground floor, while some of the stores have it in the first floor. Something I observed is that there restaurant didn't have much choices, and there were no desserts either. One could say it is because it was on a weekend, and towards the third quarter of the day... But then this is IKEA, isn't it? Bottomline is, you can buy anything that you require for your home, and more. Weekends are now crowded than the day... So plan your visit accordingly.

IKEA is synonymous with affordable, compact designs for small living spaces. Having a lunch or dinner at their restaurant is a must and always part of our visit. We have lived in countries without IKEA and the absence is tangible, especially when furnishing a new place. So glad we have access to their stores again.

IKEA reading offers cost effective furniture. Good to see the furniture in real world before placing an order. Also, you can’t miss the meat balls (veggie balls also available) here. The queue is quite long. We waited for 30min, but all worth it. Again, very good price ~ £10 per person for a main, dessert and a bottomless drink.

This is primarily a review of the restaurant. It was a Friday in school holidays, opps. The place was packed. A negative is there were only one and occasionally two staff members on the till. Although it flowed relatively well. Staff members that stood out were Teresa and Dan. They were very customer friendly and never stopped rushing around. A big thanks to them, they also understood those with additional needs and helped where they could. The food was very tasty, I forgot to photograph, but I had chicken schnitzel, and my guest had Swedish meatballs. Great price, too. Wow! The PLANT BASED VEGAN cheese cake 10 out of 10, at last, an alternative. There is an ipad that shows all allergens of food items and breaks down the information. My cup of tea was free, with the IKEA family card. Lots of tables and chairs. High chairs are available and a nursing area. Toilets. All accessible. There is also a separate cafe for those who want a light snack and to avoid the rather long queue. Mayo is at the till, and you have to ask, as guests have been taking it home. No decaf tea which was disappinting. Lots of free parking.

It was my second ever IKEA visit and first visit to the Reading store and a UK IKEA. As usual, the layout is well constructed and leads you through various ideas but then you get to Marketplace and this is where the real buying begins. The best bit of the visit was that it was empty. Pro IKEA visit tip, go when the sun's out. Most Brits were probably torsos out, sausages in and turning pink, so it was very pleasant and easy to move around and not 'peopley' at all. I left having blown my budget.

I once again had my walking shoes on and it was a joy wandering through IKEA. There were not too many people but the queues for food were very long. It was such a pleasure to look at all the new layouts and I'm very impressed. Once again IKEA showed me why they are the TOP shop to find everything under one roof for your house. Easily accessible for those who are disabled. Enough parking when we arrived. Just a joy 10 out of 10

The best IKEA I have been to so far! Everything was on another level compared to the others I have visited and that's not to say that they were bad. The scale of the displays, the layout, the feel and the building itself were all fantastic. Will make a bee line for this place when next in the area for sure. The store also had a lovely Christmassy feel to it and I get the impression that the staff put a lot of effort into organising the displays as well as they had great attention to detail.
