This Dobbies is located in Shinfield which is South from Reading. This is a good little garden centre. Go in through the main entrance and you are in the garden furniture and indoor plant section. Great selection of cacti here. Some other interesting plants as well. The coffee shop is off to the left and it’s a decent size. Through into the gift section where there are crafts and gifts and toys. Out back is the main plant area and there is a really good selection of all the various plants you would expect to find. You will also find a good selection of statues and plant pots. Back inside and there is the tool section then the food shop which has some great stuff in and of course the butchers. There is also the aquatics and pet section round the back, I didn’t go but believe it is still there. I’d recommend this as a place to visit.

Went to the cafe and they had no food other than cake by 3pm so a bit dissapointing. There is a nice variety of items, from homeware, books, candles, flowers, BBQ's etc and the staff were all friendly.

We always enjoy shopping here because the plants are of a good quality, and on discount weekends prices are really cut. You also get 10% discount if you are a Gardening Club member, and 2 free coffees once a month. Dobbies know how to keep you coming, and the local manager is excellent with a very pleasant manner. Always a pleasure. Now in 2022 the plan to close and completely rebuild, so watch this space! The restaurant right now needs upgrading and I’m sure when they have finished the entire site will rival Henry Street Garden Centre, the local star attraction.

Popped in to Dobbies for a bite to eat. Service was excellent and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The prices of the products (not in the restaurant) are a little on the pricey side. Lots of various products available from plants to pens. There is also a small Sainsbury's within to buy products from. And an aquatic area . Worth a visit even if you're passing by. Plenty of parking that's free!

Independent butcher in food Hall. Nice selection of Spring plants and bulbs. Waitrose now available in food Hall, disappointed no Whittard fruit teas available in there today.. The journey is worth it for the cakes. Oh their cakes. Cannot find those very delicious slices anywhere around. Did I mention they also sell plants and home items?

Large selection of indoor and outdoor plants. Cafe was busy, a few mistakes made by the staff, but the food was hot and the coffee was strong!! Perfect time to go too as the flowers looked stunning.

To start with there is a good car park with lots of space. There's plenty of choice of plants and garden sundries. The centre felt very clean and tidy. The plants were in good condition and looked well cared for.
