My son and I have come to this establishment multiple times over the past 20 years and have seen the progress of this restaurant. It has been an upward success. The current land lady and staff are exceptionally good at what they do. The service is fast and friendly. We have only ever waited maximum 15 minutes for a meal and the food is outstanding. They have kept a rustic country pub feel as well as being classy. At the rear, the garden extends to a safe boundary to the loddon river. Although being placed next to a fairly busy road when you make your way inside you will not even notice that to the slightest extent.

Went with 4 other members of family. Food was good but unfortunately one of the meals was cold. They replaced and we were not charged for replacement. Nice pub for midweek meal. Would still recommend even with th cold food.

What a lovely pub! Brilliant food, excellent service and a nice atmosphere. Our server Izzy was very friendly and professional. Will definitely be coming back.

Great Sunday roast at The George, nicely presented and not swimming in gravy. Izzy our server, was very smiley and helpful and was well informed. Great place to eat

Went for Sunday lunch and had the rib of beef. Excellent food, soft melty slow-cooked beef presented on a bone that it pulled away from effortlessly, fluffy crispy Yorkshire pudding, perfectly cooked vegetables.

We all treated ourselves to a Friday lunch out of the office. I have passed this place many many times, but never visited. today we went for lunch and received a warm welcome. The food was just awesome and the staff very freindly and helpful. We will be back very soon.

Ive come here quite a few times for work (its just along from the premier inn - 5 minute walk). I've learnt that its best to book a table or check they are serving food before ordering drinks if your after food. The food itself is really nice - good menu and good quality. Staff are always friendly and pleasant. I had given a poor review before but based on a few more trips decided I was too being too harsh and must have visited on a off day before.

Lovely pub. Nice ambiance and perfect for hanging out with friends. Not too noisy, not too dark, just right for chilling. I had fish and chips, with a session IPA and it was scrumptious. Despite that it's cod, it was tasty and super fresh. Beer selection is good too!

Went to celebrate my birthday, the waitress we had offered great service and was very apologetic when apparently the chef dropped my pie so had to wait for my food! Didn’t give five stars as had no offer of a drink or money off as had to wait for my food!
