The atmosphere is charming. Warm and welcoming surroundings. The choice of food is lovely. The portions they say are small, but 2 give a varied and very adequate meal. The cooking of every element was impeccable, and the price was very reasonable. And peri peri chicken is out of this world. Gotta try again.

This was our second visit in 3 weeks and again it was quite honestly faultless.On our first visit the waiter explained that it was a tapas experience and to order a couple of peri peri dishes. Not rocket science, Service was attentive, yet personal and really quite delightful that our server remembered us from the last visit! The food was innovative and beautifully cooked and presented. Staff were knowledgeable and rather fun, it's lovely to see people enjoy their job! Food was promptly served and cooked to perfection. A nice selection of drinks were on offer in a lovely atmosphere. I am amazed at people complain about portion sizes as the service style is clearly explained, sometimes unfortunately it's the customer who needs educated. I am a chef and hospitality trainer and quite frankly I can't wait to visit again. I doubt I could teach them anything. Outstanding!!!!

I visited The View with a friend. We weren't sure what to expect as far as the 'sharing' dishes were concerned but went open-minded. Having seen the menu, the sharing of dishes was a fantastic idea, giving us the opportunity to try lots of different dishes. The mains were bigger than starters, but smaller than usual main courses. We both found these portion sizes to be adequate. We shared three 'mains', and one sweet, though we could have managed another sweet - they all sounded so good. We would highly recommend this restaurant. Great food, very friendly service and stunning location. The food is not cheap, but not overpriced either. A lovely treat. We will definitely be back.

I tried this when it first opened and it was packed as they had half price food. I went again today (not planned) as I wanted a desi tea and happened to drive past. So whilst drinking tea thought I would get dessert which was good. I then decided to buy some peri peri for kids for take away. I thought the peri peri was just like any other small peri peri outlets. I think this place needs work on making an atmosphere, it seems you walk in to a take out and not restaurant. I think there is so much potential and the staff were really nice. It wasn't busy so this is my concern, I genuinely worry about this business as I can see hard work has gone in. I would say it's worth a visit, try the food as I thought it wasn't bad.

Great place for family dining. Food was great and served in good time, however it was quiet when we went. Service was great and they made you feel welcome. Plenty of parking outside and nice to be right opposite Palmer Park, so can walk off some of the calories afterwards! Will definitely be returning again!

The place it self is very welcoming and is located near Palmer park. I have visited this place twice with my family. The environment and the seating is really nice and clean. I would like to mention that the lambs chops are really tender and juicy with full flavors but the rest is still as good as it looked on the menu. I just had a small issue with the food which the Manager had sorted it out in second I really appreciate the effort and kindness. I really recommend this place :)

I celebrate my son birthday party at this restaurant and it was an excellent experience. They Managed superbly well - the food was beautifully presented and the service was first class. Superb surroundings and quality food are sure to make this one of the top restaurants in Reading. Highly recommended and we look forward to returning in the near future.

The food and service is good for this restaurant/ takeaway. It’s a good clean environment for you to bring your family to. I don’t agree with the negative comments made by earlier reviewers, it’s easy to get to and plenty of parking on the side roads. If the owners retain consistency of the food quality and continue to maintain standards I don’t see why it can’t survive in this part of Reading.
