Found this place today and had the best fish, chips and peas followed by a proper brew that I've had in many years. Often disappointed with fish, chips and peas when I cave into the craving for them. Not here! Amazing quality and attention to getting each of these elements right. Sat in the shop and devoured every mouthful. Fantastic service. Please go and find this place next time you are in Redcar. You will not regret it! The walk along the front afterwards was terrific. Worth the trip from York for the fish and cheap and some bracing fresh air. Well done Redcar and the Fisherman's Square Fish and Chip Shop.

Always stop for fish and chips here on my beach visits to Redcar with my dogs. Great fish and chips and I buy my dogs a spam fritter each which they love. Lovely friendly service too. Nothing too much trouble. A little gem of a place.
