Three of us were working near to Albert's
So decided to buy lunch there .
Two lunchtime specials of sausage and chips and one chicken fillet burger and chips for a reasonable£20.00 all with drinks
Chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle ( as it should be)
Burger was offered with fresh salad and sauce of choice.
When I opened my battard sausage meal it was so large I thought they'd made a mistake and given me cod and chips.
The lady who served us was also very polite

Love it!!! I haven't been here in about 20yrs as I've moved but was visiting family and went there it was outstanding. Cod was delicious breaded mushrooms a but overpriced but still great.

I ordered some of their food through just eat today and I have to say it is easily the best I have had in the area. If your a fan of scampi then Albert's is a must have, and the curry sauce is on point too.
Thank you Albert's for my first enjoyable fish and chips in a while! I will definitely be returning.

The chips did not look like the British traditional white fluffy chips. The fish was okay. It was also a little pricey. Since my last review I visited again. There has been significant improvements.

Shocked after looking at their recent review on google!! I don't know why people are rating one star? have you really tried it out after new owners has taken over? if you look at recent comments on ubereats compared to google you'll be shocked! I'm sure comments on ubereats are people who has actually tried out this shop. I just want to say that don’t discredit the shop just because new owners has taken over. It's delicious!

Fantastic portions. Fish was fresh and full of flavour. Chips were just right. Batter in the fish was perfect and not greasy. Beautiful touch it was given to us in a reusable tote bag. So delighted to have found this Fish Bar. Also give NHS discount on showing ID.
