A brilliant village pub in the Vale. Came for Sunday lunch. The young girl, senior waitress and lad in a blue shirt served us today. Brilliant and friendly staff; quick service; young girl swiftly informed chefs of a mushroom allergy one of our party had. Roast beef was the best I'd ever had. Succulent medium-well British beef which was amazingly cooked - everything about the dish was perfect - Yorkshire, gravy and selection of veg. The roast pork and veggie tart was also apparently delicious. Another nice touch was that the warm bread that you get with drinks is locally baked British produce. I am pleased that they offer Becks beer as that's my favourite lol. Overall, a lovely and quaint village pub with great atmosphere, friendly staff and chefs that care and love to cook the great quality food. An excellent meal and will be back soon. The conservatory dining room at the back is nice and not too hot.
Best pub Sunday lunch I've had in a long time.
I first came here on the recommendation of a work colleague & haven’t looked back since! The atmosphere is lovely; the tables are spaced far enough away from each other that you don’t feel like you’re sitting on top of one another. The service has always been amazing & the food is delicious. My personal faves are the baked Camembert and Windmill Burger with Stilton 😍 Would definitely recommend as a place to come
