The highest pub in Britain, it takes a long drive to reach it, but will be worth it. The views go on forever. There are several walking routes nearby , it was very busy with lots of tourists, definitely recommend a visit.

Paul and I went for my birthday Saturday night we booked a room and a table for a evening meal , Our experience from walking in the pub at 2.15 to leaving the next day after breakfast was amazing the staff well each and everyone of them work so hard couldn’t do enough for us the food was excellent we had lunch time snack evening meal and breakfast service great food hot any yummy if I had one complaint it would be when your staying over in the pub you should have waitress service for the evening meal and serve your drinks . The band in the evening was an added bonus we met some really lovely people who we partied with til last orders . So all in all we would highly recommend Thank you to all the staff for making our stay very enjoyable xx

We pre booked Sunday lunch on May bank holiday. I'll be honest, I'm middle aged and struggle to get excited by a Sunday lunch these days. Had so many bland mushy ones served it's put me off them. We arrived bang on time at midday and as expected the place was extremely busy! Car parks and inside full of cyclist's, bikers, hikers and car travellers. We were quickly shown to our table, 4 adults and 2 under 5's. There was no issue in getting our food and drinks ordered and everything arrived in good time. Then! What was served was a sight to behold! Generous portions, meat that was full of flavour and roasted to perfection. Vegetables were again perfectly cooked. They still had bite and were delicious. The gravy was heavenly!! Considering how busy they were everything was on point. Tan Hill you have restored my faith in the humble Sunday lunch. Thank you!!

The pub was quaint, obviously very old. Food was excellent and plenty of it. Staff were on the ball and gave good service and very friendly. The drive up to it is not for the faint hearted, personally I found it very daunting but glad I made the trip. Considering where it is, it got very busy.

Great food and good beer (My Black Sheep Ale was anyway). Super location. Thankfully, it didn't feel like it was relying on the fact it's Britain's highest pub and was trying to ensure it was still a Proper Dales pub. Will no doubt return at some point.

Out in tge wilds and my goodness it truly is. But the place was beautiful, the outside picture postcard the inside like a cozy farm house parlour, fantastic staff very attentive and the portion size was a lovely surprise. Whilst it will never be the cheapest place you do get excellent value for money.

Great old school pub, highest in the land with good selection of beers & real ales. Had no problems getting a table with our 2 dogs and enjoyed a wonderful lunch. Can thoroughly recommend the giant yorkshire puddings, very filling.

I came to Tan Hill for a meal. So i don't know how the bedrooms are. Staff is really nice and we had a delicious meal in here. The pub has such a nice environment. We had a sweet potato and kale pie and it was absolutely delicious. I do recommend a stop here. The surroundings are absolutely stunning.
