We pre booked Sunday lunch on May bank holiday. I'll be honest, I'm middle aged and struggle to get excited by a Sunday lunch these days. Had so many bland mushy ones served it's put me off them. We arrived bang on time at midday and as expected the place was extremely busy! Car parks and inside ful
I came to Tan Hill for a meal. So i don't know how the bedrooms are. Staff is really nice and we had a delicious meal in here. The pub has such a nice environment. We had a sweet potato and kale pie and it was absolutely delicious. I do recommend a stop here. The surroundings are absolutely stunning
Very busy, more so than expected being in middle of nowhere!!! Lots of walkers wirh dogs and cyclists, lots of camper vans stopping in lay-byes and parking area of inn. Very dog friendly. Rooms small but up to date and very clean with tea and coffee facilities included. Evening meals and breakfast v
Great food and good beer (My Black Sheep Ale was anyway). Super location. Thankfully, it didn't feel like it was relying on the fact it's Britain's highest pub and was trying to ensure it was still a Proper Dales pub. Will no doubt return at some point.
The pub was quaint, obviously very old. Food was excellent and plenty of it. Staff were on the ball and gave good service and very friendly. The drive up to it is not for the faint hearted, personally I found it very daunting but glad I made the trip. Considering where it is, it got very busy.
Out in tge wilds and my goodness it truly is. But the place was beautiful, the outside picture postcard the inside like a cozy farm house parlour, fantastic staff very attentive and the portion size was a lovely surprise. Whilst it will never be the cheapest place you do get excellent value for mone

Great old school pub, highest in the land with good selection of beers & real ales. Had no problems getting a table with our 2 dogs and enjoyed a wonderful lunch. Can thoroughly recommend the giant yorkshire puddings, very filling.
The highest pub in Britain, it takes a long drive to reach it, but will be worth it. The views go on forever. There are several walking routes nearby , it was very busy with lots of tourists, definitely recommend a visit.
