I have always enjoyed SpudULike baked potatoes. Recently the menu has had a ‘make over’ due to the involvement of chef James Martin.
There is a greater emphasis on presentation now and some changes to the menu itself.
Two of my favourite fillings have been removed from the menu (Egg mayonnaise and Prawn Marie Rose) and the coleslaw is now called rainbow slaw.
It’s my opinion that the baked potatoes are smaller than they used to be, however they are just as tasty and I enjoyed a combination of butter, grated cheese and ‘rainbow slaw’.
What I had was very good but I would like bigger potatoes and I’d like to see the egg mayonnaise back on the menu.
Returned with a friend:
2 baked potatoes each butter with 2 fillings plus two soft drinks: £17.50. A bit on the expensive side I think.
A lovely refreshment stop during a shopping trip. A pleasant enjoyable coffee and an outstanding Lemon muffin. Soft, moist, flavourful, and undeniably moreish.
First time here and loves it. Yvonne was very nice and friendly. The food was delicious. Will be back again.
Beautiful. Just beautiful. So happy that SpudULike has been revived. I think they've done a really good job of it, some really nice choices of toppings for your potatoes. Don't hesitate to go!
Usually only one person serving and queues out the door. Food is usually nice. No frills. Eating off of paper plates, wooden cutlery, plastic cups.
Baked potatoes a bit over done and beyond crispy. Fixed topping not same experience as the last time I visited. Which was before covid.
Still we eat it.
Well here's a surprise! Not been in here before and loved the friendly staff, food, value for money, decor and the overall experience. They don't hold back on the filling on baked potatoes nor the chicken salad... totally satisfied my appetite during a busy Christmas shopping spree. Give it a try people, I think you'll enjoy.
I was pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness of the baked spuds!! A good choice of fillings and nice sides and desserts too. I'll definitely go again.
Service was amazing, staff were lovely. Best baked potato's ever. Very good for a vegetarian!!
Food was delicious, staff were fantastic. Only issue was you need to deconstruct your toppings in order to put butter on, minor detail 😉
