Was staying near here for a weekend with friends and so we booked for Sunday lunchtime. It was carvery and so my 2 friends tucked into the roast dinner and said that it was really good. I eat plant based and so asked the waitress if there was anything at the carvery that I could eat. I was really impressed as she knew her allergens. Before I knew it I had a plate that she had put together for me of things such a roast potatoes and veggie gravy and a veg pattie. The vegetables are usually tossed in butter so she had the chef prepare me a huge dish of fresh veg. It was amazing! Really enjoyed the lunch and felt very well looked after. Would recommend.

Had a lovely meal here where the food was freshly cooked to order with a selection of imaginative choices for vegetarians.
The staff were very welcoming and attentive, and we look forward to returning soon.

My wife and I came in for lunch on Saturday, didn't book and was given a table for 2 with no problems.The staff are friendly, the place looks fantastic and the food is faultless,best steak pie I've ever tasted.Will definitely return .

We went on a Sunday for a roast dinner which was very nice. We each had beef and turkey and it was given to us with generous portions, and excellent service from the staff!
My only con is the choice to have a live singer on a casual Sunday afternoon when people just want to have a lovely meal with their friends and family. The singing was extremely loud, annoying and in an awkward position when you walked to the bar.
The guy is a solid singer and don't mean to offend, but the timing and location of it for me wasn't right. If it was not summer time, and we couldn't sit outside, I would probably have gone elsewhere.

Halloumi burger was very good a nice large piece,chips crispy and diet coke was ice cold,good service nothing to fault.

Food is good, pricey for what you get. Service excellent, surroundings fab. Great selection of gins/vodkas, beer is standard.
Cocktail menu needs spellchecking.

Great gem if your in Retford, we had the Sunday lunch and it was absolutely excellent. Perfectly cooked and generous portion sizes. The staff were all freindly, professional and helpful, definitely asset's to this established.

We were recommended this pub by a friend and omg it's was absolutely fantastic the food was beautiful we were only going to have a main but we had starter ,main and dessert it was amazing would highly recommend this place
