The Mirchi

Ok. We live in the Midlands where there are thousands of Indian restaurants. And we usually eat out in them once or twice a week. We know a bit about Asian cuisine! Every time we visit Rhayader we go to the Mirchi. And every time we eat there we say the same thing. It is the best Asian food we have ever had. The flavours, the spices, the presentation and service. Absolutely first class. We can't wait till the next time

Thank you so much for your hospitality last night. My wife and I had a fabulous meal on our last night in Rhayader. If you go, have the duck. Delicious. We chatted with the waiter about Bangladesh as my wife's family originally heralded from the same place. Really good food, superb service, nice atmosphere and good value for money. We even had a sample of the hot mango chutney and a couple of popudums to dip to take home, as my wife was trying to work out the recipe. When in Rhayader, be sure to look up this restaurant.

We booked ahead and were warmly greeted by Ali. The restaurant was nicely decorated and all facilities were clean. The wait for food was a little longer than usual, though understandable as only two staff were serving and cooking. The food was certainly worth the wait! All special requests were catered to, and Ali in particular was very attentive in ensuring that we were happy as we dined. We were looking forward to our visit to The Mirchi and Ali and staff did not dissapoint!
