Coastal chic with fantastic food. Rooms are elegant and exceptionally comfortable. Nice gesture bringing fresh coffee, juice and croissants to the room prior to breakfast. Superb personal service from the team. Dinner was delicious and very reasonable. Good selection of wines by the glass. Breakfast was great, generous portions and varied menu. We will definitely return here.
Excellent food, as good as anything in London . The mussels are highly recommended, as is the steak. The chicken is a distant third. Shepherds pie was lovely.
I was in the village five nights and visited here four times.
We ate at Sandy Mount on a Saturday evening. Our waiter Tash was was wonderful, asking about and helping with allergies, and asking for and ensuring that preferences were catered too. When our drinks then maincourse took some time to come she kept us in the loop and nudged the kitchen staff. The food was lovely : seafood platter was scrumptious and the fish and chips excellent. Arctic Roll wonderful.
Due to the delays we were offered a complimentary round of drinks. I asked if they had any Welsh whisky, and the barman brought me tasters of all three that they had presented perfectly with a separate glass of ice and little jug of tap water.
Lovely interior friendly staff.A good food selection on the menu
I love pasta and I had the best Linguine Fish dish ever the Octopus Mussels cooked perfectly the pasta and sauce delicious best fish dish on Anglesey and I ate quite a few while I was there. My friend had Burger and Chips her opinion was tasty and a moist Burger not dry
Had a lovely meal here. The service was good too. The only negative was the Sandy Mount Iced Tea cocktail was awful. Tasted like cheap flat cola drink and couldn’t taste any alcohol in it at all. Was the most expensive cocktail on the menu too. Very underwhelming.
It is a good treat but on a more expansive side. Food is good but not worth the money. Nice decor and helpful staff, but definitely food use to better here. I'm not impressed with the last visit, but they have made a good impression before, so hopefully, it will jump back up.
Allergies. My experience was amazing! From the minute I enquired about making a booking for the 21st September I received the best service. I had a detailed conversation with Dan E about all my allergies (especially one which causes anaphylaxis) and the severity as well as what I would be able to eat from the menu. Dan took great care in relation to understanding my requirements and the risk levels as well as considering the best table for me to ensure good air flow and least risk to me. He also made sure that the kitchen and team working on the day of the booking were aware of my circumstances.
Then on the day of the meal I was looked after in a fantastic way and Charlie ensured that I was not at any risk but also in a way that did not detract from my experience or make me stand out to any others. Well done to all the team as anyone serving me was sanitising their hands before serving to ensure that there was no cross contamination and the chef adapted a dessert for me and made recommendations to what would taste great. I absolutely believe that good service should be celebrated and the team, especially Dan E and Charlie should be applauded. They are not only a credit to the Sandymount but also to the hospitality industry. Well done!
Called in today 25th for some lunch and the food was fabulous, especially the seafood fully loaded fries.
Would recommend.
Had a lovely relaxing lunch today, 2 of us with our dog. Food was lovely, staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Great place.
We loved staying at Sandy Mount. The room was big and warm, all the spaces beautifully decorated, but above all the food was great. Very tasty and well presented. Friday night at the bar was a pleasant surprise with live music and a very upbeat crowd, that we could not hear at all in the rooms upstairs. In fact, this silent little village made for the best sleep we had in years!
