Had a lovely meal with my family here today . Food is amazing and the service was great . 14 of us there and we all felt relaxed, welcome and left with full tummy's and a smile .

If you like plenty of food on your plate then believe me you will not be disappointed there are some things you have a smaller portion with, done people I know have a starter and a pudding or a main and a sweet but that's only if you can't manage the big stuff.

Lovely place to visit. Excellent service and friendly staff. Food was delicious with generous potions and to top it all the price isn't extortionate in fact more than reasonable for a restaurant of that quality.

Always an amazing meal! Lovely atmosphere in bother the restaurant and the pub areas, we tend to go for special meals here because it's about an hours drive from where we are but it's so worth the drive. Very accommodating with me having a 4 month old in a pram this time, my grandma and grandad have been coming to this place for years and years and they absolutely love it!

Been going to the New Drop for some years. A very traditional independent pub and restaurant. With traditional interior. Red carpets and dark wooden tables. A cosy atmosphere with a log fire in the winter and fabulous views in the summer. A real gem of a find. One of the last true independent pub/restaurants. Impeccable staff that have worked here for some years. Great food. The beer my husband says is the best around and we travel about 20 miles to visit. The food is like the building very traditional. Gorgeous steaks. Hearty portions. A definite jewel of the independent pubs. Can highly recommend. X

Went with Mannion Travel on their Mystery Tour Lunch which led us to the New Drop Inn on the moors. Scenery from the dining room was beautiful the inn was cosy and welcoming. I travelled with my husband and friends. Our meal was served by friendly efficient staff was cooked to perfection. Would recommend this as a place to go.

Warm welcome from staff was a precursor to a pleasant lunch from a menu with plenty of choices at reasonable prices. One warning, big portions need a big appetite!
