Lovely Breton food in cool pleasant surroundings, lovely people and a great choice of ciders. The best place I have found to eat in Richmond.
Amazing place to serve all day meals, five stars staff and a great view. Also food is the most fresh in area. Thanks for all the breakfasts I had there !
YES yes yes. Amazing French cuisine, really encapsulating the simple flair that I associate with it. The mussels were delicious, as was the steak frites. We had a gorgeous river-view and I could've sat taking pictures of the quaint little place all day long. A cosy pearl of a find.
Very friendly and cozy restaurant, where you can find a variety of French or french-inspired dishes to cry for. At lunch/brunch I'd definitely recommend a seafood gallette and you can't miss out the crepe suzette for dessert. The menu varies so it keeps surprising me, including the escargots for starters (very tasty snails) and several of their specials which never made me regret a visit. Will keep going over and over again.
Good food and drink. The staff are very friendly, good haunt for lunch / brunch. Haven't been with a small group but have heard their dinners are awesome too!
Had a great meal here Saturday night. Huge portion of moules to start, beautiful fresh bread for mopping up, great French cider served in traditional little earthenware bowls, a really tasty Galette for main followed by wonderfully dramatic and extremely boozy flamed at the table Crepes Suzette. Très Bon.
Good night. Had a lovely time here the other night. will definitely go again.
Nice. Good food and good atmosphere. I have to be in the right mood for galettes, but they have plenty else to choose from as well.
Excellent. Warm, unfussy atmosphere and decor, friendly service and an excellent menu. You won't get a better 'gallette bretonne' in London! Oh, and their wine list's great too.
Chez Lindsay is a French restaurant with specialities from Brittany like galettes, pancakes and seafood. It is very well located on Hill Rise in Richmond between the river side and Richmond Park. The design inside is nice, with a kind of yellow pastel col
Absolute gem of a restaurant hidden in the heart of Richmond. Authentic cuisine, beautifully presented in an elegant atmosphere that is befitting of royalty. Advance booking is a must as we were incredibly lucky to get seating, even just for the two of us.
Would 100% visit again in a heartbeat.
I came here for my birthday, service was spot on and my 1 year old had lots of fun. The seafood is spot on and the French onion soup is very good too so recommend that and the mussels and crab. Surprisingly the grape juice was also a winner - we're glad we got the large pitcher. A good alternative to those who can't/don't want to drink alcohol. My only issue were the mains, my partner ordered steak medium rare but it was more medium. I ordered the duck confit and it looked like it'd be deep fried too much, the outside was dry and stiff. Inside, it wasn't any better, as it was clearly overcooked and very salty! It was almost like eating cured duck. My potatoes were also overly deep fried, very oily. Even with the pickled veg, it was hard to eat. It seems the meat station failed this day as everything else was on point. Very disappointing considering the mains were not cheap. I recommend appetisers but avoid mains as they seem inconsistent.
Lovely french restaurant in Richmond. Food was really good, we enjoyed a lot. Charming atmosphere. We would definitely be back
Lovely candle light dinner at this French restaurant. The food was excellent to say the least. Black pudding and the snails made a brilliant starter. The mix of ingredients was just incredible.
The dish off the day was duck, also had lamb. Both dishes divine and the meat cooked perfectly with great detail. For desert the pancakes were also very tasty and complimented everything else.
The staff was nice a friendly offered a pleasant service. Very satisfying ❤️
Food was high quality and tasty, French atmosphere with casual seating. Great service . Highly recommended
Unfortunately my friend’s phone was stolen and we were very shaken up by the experience to the point we cancelled the rest of our order. Lindsay (the owner) and the rest of the staff were so incredibly kind and comforting. They even decided to not charge us for the wine and starters which was lovely of them. I’ll definitely be going back again - the food and wine I did consume was fantastic and of course, the staff and service are next to none.
Me and my partner missed French onions 🧅 soup. So we came here to meet Bit of France 🇫🇷 staff are very warm welcome and friendly. Onion soup is very tasty 😋 we enjoyed duck and lavender dish and chicken dish. Fresh and tasty 😉 we had one house 🍷 wine and ginger ale total £69. we will visit again. Enjoyed !!!
Amazing menu that changes aosta every week. Authentic French cuisine, nothing seems to be prepared in advance, all very fresh 10/10
So happy they are open in the afternoon, because the weather outside had been trying to drown me. An excellent choice of Gallettes and traditional dishes here. The traditional ciders are a great choice in the afternoon as they are relatively low alcohol. Often my first choice when dining in Richmond.
Absolutely fabulous French restaurant. I regularly visit this place because of their delicious food and impeccable service. This place reminds me of being in France because of the homely ambiance and great selection of French cuisine. I often end up having fish gratin (special) and even if it's not in the menu, they politely make me for me (I feel special🙃). Must visit restaurant if you're in the Richmond area.
