Great annual event breakfasting with friends (superb full English) & Youngs Winter Warmer ale. Efficient online booking & confirmation. Friendly & attentive staff. Swift table service with the On Tap app. Highlights were the Shire horses & the River Thames coming up to the front steps. All in all a great experience.

Advised to book if you can! It’s very busy, specially on weekends but it’s definitely worth it. Usually they have walk in table on the ground and outside area (:
Great food! Typical pub’s menu, we went there for a Sunday Roast and, as you can see from pictures, it was good as the looking! 😍
Not many options for desserts though.
Great selection of beers (;

Worthy beer after a long trail from Wimbledon to Richmond park on the capital ring trail section 6, the best of the capital ring trails

Food incredible and staff even better. You need to visit when in Richmond. New pies on the menu were a pleasant surprise and an endless selection of drinks as usual. So many aspects to this pub that will give you whatever vibe you’re looking for on an afternoon out. Can’t fault. Just the best local.

Excellent chicken and ham pie, and the apple crumble is to die for. Service is super friendly and they welcome dogs. Call me a regular!!
Come for the high tide, it envelopes the pub and you can be "trapped" until the water recedes. They're well-stocked with beer and food so it's a good place to get legit stuck for maybe 90 minutes.

Great pub! I would absolutely recommend booking way in advance as it can get really busy - we went on a match day before the rugby and it was packed. Food was really good - I had the special which was chicken schnitzel with chips, the chips were perfect, crispy without being greasy and too oily and the chicken was wonderful.
Service was good, polite friendly and helpful though I would say might be a great idea to have some kind of “uniform” so to speak, as there were a few staff who if they hadn’t cleared the table or brought drinks I would have just assumed they were patrons of the bar!
Great views of the Thames too, so would definitely come again for lunch or dinner here.
Price was fine for the area, ended up being around 170 quid for 4 people all having multiple drinks and food.

Fabulous pub with a fantastic service, beautiful terrace by the river. We were having a vegan burger which was extremely delicious and a chicken Caesar salad. Will definitely come back!!

Just wow, I had the pleasure of dining at the White Cross in Richmond, and it was truly a delightful experience. The star of the show was undoubtedly the Chicken Caesar Salad – a harmonious blend of tender chicken, crisp lettuce, and flavorful dressing. The Plant Burger, a delightful vegetarian option my girlfriend definitely enjoyed it, disappeared in seconds.
What truly stood out, though, was the impeccable service and the inviting ambiance. The staff at White Cross in Richmond went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience, making us feel welcome and attended to throughout our visit.
White Cross in Richmond is a gem that delivers on both taste and hospitality.
I’ll be back.

Great spot for a pub, right on the river. Bustling when we were there at 5pm with our kids after exploring Hampton Court.
We were keen to be amongst it and soak up the atmosphere so got a table and grabbed a few drinks and snacks. Hot chips were so good we ordered them again and the cheese and charcuterie board was delicious.
A few people came in with dogs so must be a dog friendly place.
