I wanted a madras the manager recommended I try another dish wich was just as hot as a madras but with more spice and flavour it was by far the best tandoori dish iv ever had and my fiancée got the tikka which I tried and we both thought that was really nice aswel and we both liked

Lovely food at the banquet tonight £10.95 each for all that food is a bargain and the service was spot on, nice window seats and lots of vegetarian options available

Excellent food, no card payments which I didn't know about until I went to pay. This said I found the food to be incredibly tasty with the manager seeming to take extra care in explaining the dish, how it would be cooked and that it was a meat on the bone dish. I would strongly recommend it to any friends but also letting them know that cash payment is only accepted, which I found this be a little odd but as I was eating on my own found it easy to accept. However, if it was for a large sit down occasion I would have been struggling to pull the cash together. Recommend putting a sign up at the entrance flight all to see, and large enough so that no excuse is made on it not being visible or something similar. Excellent food and vey pleased with the service provided.

Been going here for about 20 years. Even though I now live a 45mins drive away I still meet up with friends we are never disappointed and Raj is very good. He knows his menu so well and is very informative. Tell him what your likes and dislikes are and he will recommend the perfect dish. Another great night out with friends.

Ordered a takeaway, arrived spot-on on time, piping hot and good food. Would definitely recommend. (Side-note; the donner meat, if that's what you're into, is by far the best in Richmond)

The food that was served was the best Indian myself and my friends had eaten anywhere in the area. The Gentleman that served us was called Raj, and he was top draw. I would highly recommend Tandoori Night for anyone looking for a friendly, enjoyable meal out. Excellent!

This was the second time that we had visited Tandoori Night. We make an annual visit to Richmond to spectate at a car trial event that takes place every November, and consequently have a night out in Richmond. The first time we dined here the 'Maitre de' recommended a highly spiced vegetable dish to satisfy my liking for hot, spicy food. So I decided to try the same approach this time, and I was not disappointed - nicely cooked vegetables in a well-spiced sauce, and a fresh, delicious chilli naan with which to wipe up the last traces of the sauce from my plate. My companions greatly enjoyed their meals too, and we thought that the service was also exemplary. The two guys sharing front of house duties, Raj and Alam (if I have remembered their names right), were very friendly, informative about the food, and willing to engage in conversation. So we were made to feel very welcome. From my own personal perspective, the fact that the restaurant is BYO with respect to alcohol is a massive bonus. There is a Co-Op shop in the Market Place, as well as a Bargain Booze, so it's not a major chore for someone in the party to nip across and buy some wine and beer. The only real surprise was the fact that the restaurant is a cash-only enterprise, but there are several ATMs in the Market Place, and ready cash is available close by. The ambience of the place was relaxed and pleasant, and it gave the impression that it has been relatively recently re-decorated. The use of modern LED wall lights makes for interesting lighting, and also interesting photos, which I was happy to take advantage of. The overall feel is bright and minimalist, with floral wallpaper at either end of the room, and little in the way of decoration other than the wall lights. The ceiling lighting is also attention-grabbing, and very much to the taste of my wife, who liked the ceiling lights a lot. The chairs, though, have a very Charles Rennie MacIntosh look about them, and complement the atmosphere of the restaurant well. All-in-all, I would recommend this establishment to anyone with a liking for Indian food.
