The Rose Of York - Richmond - Photo album

We had fish and chips today which was fresh and delicious. The staff were really welcoming and especially kind to my dog, giving her ham and biscuits! Recommend highly for lunch. The free carpark was handy too as it's difficult to park around Richmond hill.
As it started to rain we popped in for a cold beer and a glass of wine - bit surprised it cost £12.70 but the pub itself is lovely. Stuffed owl, pheasant, stag head and comfy couches - loved it. Lots of people enjoying the Sunday roast menu. Great outdoor areas too.
Great place for a few beers on a summer evening. They have a real fire for the winter. Their premium lager is £6.90 and old brewery bitter is £4.90. Pub food is good. For a big meal go for the big catch. There is a big car park just don't forget to register your car inside. Plenty of seating inside
Had a really nice and relaxed time. The lady behind the bar was friendly and helpful and the beer was delicious. As a barkeep myself I can testify that it is kept well. I will definitely be popping back at some time to try out the carvery.
Lovely location for access to riverside walks or Richmond wandering. All of the staff were extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. We ate in the bar both evenings and had plenty to choose from. The breakfast was a high point, service with a smile and nothing was too much trouble, great quality fa
Always great place to stay as location is perfect for Richmond, the Thames, Ham House and local transport! Breakfast still a bit disappointing though, but its does. Be better if the rate was just room and then there's plenty of choice for breakfast in the town, which is a 10-15 minute walk away!
Booked this lovely place as a stop over whilst down in London for Depeche Mode at Twickenham. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was excellent and the room was clean & tidy and the bed was very comfortable. I genuinely wish the new owners all the success they deserve. Hope to visit again one
Food and service absolutely amazing, very quiet. Definitely a hidden gem. Chef and lady on the bar absolutely friendly! We will come again
The staff are so friendly and helpful. We loved the welcoming, cosy atmosphere of the pub and the drinks were much cheaper than anywhere else in the area. It's not pretentious, just good value for money. The rooms were reasonable, if a little dated. However, the views across the Common and the Tham
Open hearth fire. River views. Spacious. Typically fairly quiet, though this evening a group seem to have made a party booking. Clean wc. Friendly staff. No real ale but Sam Smith's brewery if fairly decent. IMO their stout is superior to Guiness. Ate here once some while ago, it was a traditional S
If you want something original and peaceful in a great part of Richmond then this is the place. It is a classic old world hotel and bar. Fiona and Kath are very good and care that all residents and patrons are welcome and cared for. It is not 5 star but we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the authen
Have you ever driven past a place for years and then, out of the blue decide to go in and then kick yourself thinking, "I should have gone in sooner"? Well don't pass up this "hidden" gem hiding in plain sight! Food was excellent English Pub classics, head chef Joshua couldn't have cooked a better
We have been coming here for a long time and have got to know some of the staff who are all great, they make us feel welcome and valued, nothing is too much trouble, we are also appreciative of how great they are with our dog , he gets so excited to come here lol. Thank you to the manager Josh, and
An absolute ‘must go-to’ to anyone visiting Richmond or any locals who haven’t tried before! Truly amazing views while eating a truly wonderful traditional carvery al-fresco! Incredible homely environment with wonderfully warm and welcoming staff. Nick and his crew are so pleasant and the food/dri
I spent one night here in July and would highly recommend. A welcoming ambiance overall and the staff without exception were very friendly and willing to accommodate special requests. Nick, I think, changed my room from the annexe to a river view which I much appreciated. We enjoyed a lovely home c
This is a lovely old fashioned pub with wood panelling and an open fireplace. We had a lovely Sunday lunch from the carvery. The food was plentiful and tasty. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed and the staff all friendly and very atten
An excellent weekend was had. Our room was lovely, over looking the meadow and thames. The pub was welcoming and had a wide range of beverages on offer. The menu had a variety of lovely food available. But best of all were the staff who were wonderfully friendly. Look forward to our return visit
Always seems very, very quiet, but a really nice Samuel Smith pub, tucked away at the foot of Richmond Hill. Not eaten there, but drinks are good and very cheap for the area (£3.10 for the pint 😁) and it's perfect after a ride/walk around Richmond Park
We visited Rose Of York Pub after a long walk in the Richmond countryside 🍀. The front door host was very kind and let us choose our favourite seat outside. Service was quick and our drinks delicious 😋. I ordered a lovely raspberry G&T and my partner had a cold beer 🍻. We also had some chilly crisps
