Lovely food prepared to order. Good variety on the menu, many of which can be made gluten free. Friendly staff, although not the quickest service (but it's a small kitchen). Daily specials make it hard to choose!

The best scones ever! Staff is very friendly, food is fresh, very affordable pricing, the lunch menu is huge. Would definitely recommend for lunch to taste traditional British food.
The staff were lovely and I have to say the Welsh Rarebit was the best I've had (well paid for). It was the nearest to my dad's recipe I've ever tasted. A charming little cafe with delicious homemade soups and sandwiches. We popped into Wakeman's House for a late lunch and enjoyed wonderful service, delicious paninis, cheese toasty, homemade soup. Rippon is near Fountains Abbey, one of the most beautiful Abbey's in England. F
My husband & I stopped here for a quick snack & drink. The service was brilliant thank you. I had a toasted teacakes & hot chocolate, my husband had a toasted cheese sarnie & a pot of tea. It was lovely & all for just over £10 - a brilliant price in this day & age with everything going up in price!
