Friendly staff, although not the quickest service (but it's a small kitchen).
Daily specials make it hard to choose!
Had a excellent meal ,panini for wife and a prawn salad for myself.
Both of good quality, cafe was busy but staff made everyone welcome.

My new husband and I visited Ripon for a couple of days. This pretty café caught our eye the afternoon we arrived so went for breakfast the next morning...and also the second morning because it was so good! I had the savoury tea both times because it was simply delicious. Hubby had cheese on toast and a sausage sandwich which were equally as good.
This is the best cafe in Ripon food is on another level we had afternoon tea on Monday delightful experience so much so we called again today this time we tried the quiche wow absolutely delicious big chunk of a piece of heavenly in taste home made to perfection so if you ever call to Ripon and fancy something to eat call here it's a must👍👍👍
The best scones ever! Staff is very friendly, food is fresh, very affordable pricing, the lunch menu is huge. Would definitely recommend for lunch to taste traditional British food.
The staff were lovely and I have to say the Welsh Rarebit was the best I've had (well paid for). It was the nearest to my dad's recipe I've ever tasted. We'll definitely return when visiting Ripon again. If anyone reads this review, you will not be disappointed with whatever you choose. Also have to say they clearly look after their regular customers which was lovely to witness, think Geoff was his name and they really took care of him. Honestly, humbling to witness. Hope you all get lots of recognition/awards as well deserved. Thank you
Lovely little place. Drinks and food are great - cakes are fresh and homemade, taste great. Clean and well run. Staff are friendly and attentive.
A charming little cafe with delicious homemade soups and sandwiches. We popped into Wakeman's House for a late lunch and enjoyed wonderful service, delicious paninis, cheese toasty, homemade soup.
Rippon is near Fountains Abbey, one of the most beautiful Abbey's in England. F
My husband & I stopped here for a quick snack & drink. The service was brilliant thank you. I had a toasted teacakes & hot chocolate, my husband had a toasted cheese sarnie & a pot of tea. It was lovely & all for just over £10 - a brilliant price in this day & age with everything going up in price! We will definitely use this lovely tearoom again on our next visit to Ripon. Thank you everyone 💖
