went in on a Sunday afternoon, had a chat with the barman who was very polite and a bit of banter with one of the locals. Friendly place.
Guinness was recommended and it was best pint I've had for a long time, very creamy. Could have quite easily made a session of it. the wife made a point of telling barman just how good her's was.
I'd happy call back again if I'm in the area again

Was a nice hot afternoon so had couple of beers and sat out side . The bar staff were very friendly

Some of these reviews have to be about another pub.
The owners are really nice people and the beer, atmosphere, clientele and low prices are second to none in Ripon.
Even the indicated closing time of ten o'clock tonight, 'a Friday night' been way is at least three hours out.
