The girls were welcoming and cheerful. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. Compliments to the chef.
Had a great night.
Just wish you’d go back to having 8 people on the round table near the toilets. Much more fun if we can see and talk to each other. We have in the past rearranged our tables to a square.

Amazing place we had a baby shower there today and they were so helpful every thing was lovely I was able to rearrange the tables to what I wanted, Manager Dave was helpful he helped me carry all my bags from my car, checked on us regularly, table service was great saved us going to the bar every 2 minutes, then the food was lush,thank you all for making it such a lovely day, see you next week for another big party

Visited the Darran yesterday for some lunch and a few drinks. Service was great and food was outstanding, cooked by Katie and Jamie. My burger was delightful, whilst my partners food was delicious!

Nice food, pub was abit draughty, could of done with the fire being lit or heating on.
Only 2 on the bar serving everyone but were very friendly and attentive.
Had a 30% off voucher. Would come more often if there were more deals. Vegetarian options were limited thou.

Had a lovely meal on Tuesday night and met the new manager! We rang to explain we'd be a little late and they were very accommodating. We had a steak and a curry. Really tasty and great service 🥰

Dog friendly. Had wraps and steak and onion ciabatta. Food was gorgeous. Hospitality of staff was brilliant- very friendly- even gave dogs treats. There is a dog menu but sadly because of diet restrictions neither of our could try anything.

Walked for just under an hour from a nearby campsite for dinner here and we’ll worth the trip. Lovely service, very tasty burger, nice range of beers on tap and staff were great with my dog, who enjoyed his chopped sausages from the doggy menu!

5 of us called in on the off chance and so glad we did, all of us had the steak option with scampi sides all cooked to our individual tastes perfectly. Finished off with tasty deserts. We will be back 😊 Nice pint as well !

Booked online with a booth request, which was honoured. Professional staff, warm welcome and efficient service. Used the QR code to place food order and pleasantly surprised that this revealed dishes that were not on the paper menu. Delicious steak, cooked as ordered. Partner said his chosen dish (Southern fried chicken) was good too.

Staff are always helpful, beer is good and food is excellent. Staff were extremely accommodating with a booking change for a family member I had recommended the pub to. Will keep coming back as it’s difficult to find somewhere locally with a friendly atmosphere, good beer and good food !

I've been to the Darren several times and with every visit its always been a very warm welcome from start to finish. The atmosphere for me is calm and laid back, I also have a Bordercollie and she's treated so well by all staff members, which is another reason why I keep coming back. Just wanna say thankyou to all Darren staff members but a special thanks to Ross & Kelsey for always going above and beyond. Food is lovely 😍 👌 👍

Went there yesterday ( 28th jan) with the kids ( well young adults now) the place has a warm feeling when walked in. Staff all friendly ( Kadie was brilliant also was Hannah)
