Excellent service & great tasting chips and fish with a crispy batter which just melts in your mouth, and at a very reasonable price too.
Not only is this the best fish & chip shop in Risca, this chippy is by far (In our opinion) better than any chip shop for miles around. We live in Newport and have tried various other places, but this one beats them all hands down.
We would highly recommend. 10/10
The Owner is so friendly and welcoming. His home made curry sauce has to be tried!! The food is fantastic. I won't go to any another local chippy and if me and my young son have a treat night we always go there. Fish is to die for too!

Just a good old fashioned fish and chip shop, with a small menu of well cooked food, coupled with friendly service 👍
Don't often fancy fish and chips, worry they'll be too much and too greasy but McDougall's were fantastic, nice light batter, freshly cooked to order, so not too greasy, and lovely crispy chips. Really enjoyed.

The food here is superb, packed with flavour, non greasy, and reasonable prices too. A real step up in terms of quality compared to usual fish and chip shop food. In my opinion, it is easily the best fish and chip shop in the area.

from the fish to the homemade curry it's all amazing. I was going to get a Irish curry but he only did his homemade curry. I was on the fence about it but it is amazing it's the right amount of thickness to it
