Had a great meal last night. Both the chicken roulade and local sausages with cheesy mash were generous portions and served piping hot. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Brewpoint beers were well kept. Will certainly be back!
My friend and I visited here last Saturday lunchtime after dropping off dog supplies to friends that run a rescue. The food was nice and fresh and staff friendly but one criticism, please don't put dressing on the side salad. It wasn't busy at all and the food set us up for our 2 hour journey home.
Immediately welcomed when we walked in the door. We could choose where to sit. Staff attentive knew what they were doing seem to be trained well. Drinks and food came quickly fresh and flavoursome. The best halloumi in a sourdough bun I have tasted it was lovely with the sweet chilli sauce with onion rings. My husband had a beef burger with tasty cheese (add on) came with salad with dressing and chips. Really well cooked, enjoyed them, had a honeycomb ice cream sundae to share why not on a hot day. The pub was cool not crowded at all very pleasant. Music on a tad loud but didn't mind when the eighties music was played. I was complemented on my dress I was wearing which was nice. I would recommend this place can't wait to come back and bring other family and friends with us. Thank you everyone.
First time we have been here, excellent service and the meal also, we had the Chicken Roulade, which was recommended . I spoke to a couple who had just finished their main and sweet with the question of recommendation , without hesitation they both said yes, nice surroundings, there is the facility of outside dining with a marquee at the top of the garden , and also nice comfortable seating.
Went for a 5 mile dog walk, then stopped in the pub for lunch. Lovely place, dog friendly, nice food. All good. It's really nice. Will be going back again.
Excellent, what more can I say. Staff are so lovely and welcoming, food is delicious and cooked to perfection. The pub is lovely and clean, and dogs are allowed in the bar. What more could anyone ask from a pub. We will definitely be going back real soon.
Absolutely superb! We have been several times since they have reopened and the staff are so friendly and attentive and very patient with our rather noisy small children! The food is delicious and I was so touched when a staff member noticed that I was giving my baby daughter (who has complex food allergies) a free-from treat I had brought with me as she couldn’t have pudding and said they had vegan ice cream and could she have that? I was delighted as it can be hard to find foods suitable for her so I often don’t bother to ask as it sends most establishments into disarray. Above and beyond! Can’t recommend highly enough-well worth a visit!
