What lovely pub. Lovely outdoor seating area with comfy furniture. They allow dogs into a designated bar area and treats are available for them near the door. The staff were friendly and helpful. They serve food although we didn't eat on this occasion. There was live music playing which was a lovely surprise, apparently live music is on every Saturday and some weekdays. Prices are reasonable. We would definitely visit here again.

Lovely pub with a great atmosphere, clean and well presented and staff are polite and friendly, plenty of photo opportunities within a very short walk (literally 1 minute walk)
If however you get into a car and turn left out the venue there are some lovely fields to photograph in for capturing stunning sunsets.

Went to photograph a wedding so sampled the food and how good the staff were.
Staff, very helpful and no complaints. Did everything they were supposed to and helped me when needed. Thank you.
Venue looked great, food was amazing and drinks were flowing.
Found some great spots for photos just a short walk away as well, so don't let the limited places on site put you off. We had great fun taking some bride and groom portraits.

Had a delicous meal here with my besties. It has a great outdoor setting and seating. Inside the decor is lovely and liked the semi circular seating in parts of the restaurant. Darling, the manager and his staff could not do enough for us. The service and attention were excellent. The food was delicous the infamous steak pie was as good as we were told and the chicken Diane left you wanting more. Good selection of wines too. Will definitely come here again.

We ate here as a family tonight and couldn’t fault a thing. Staff were warm and accommodating and the kids had a huge selection to choose from - my teenager said he had the best steak he’d ever eaten and my youngest devoured the crispy chicken. I had chicken on a vegetable risotto which rivalled any I’d had whilst living in Italy. Portion sizes were great and food cooked fresh. We’ll definitely be back. Oh and super dog friendly! What a smashing little find!

Staying nearby and popped in for food, greated at the door, seated and order taken for drinks. Food arrived reasonably quickly and was delicious, although the chips and veg could have been a little hotter,, service was attentive all the way through, would reccomend.

Had Sunday lunch 12 family the service from all the staff was just excellent not rushed the perfect setting even with 4 children. The manager could not do enough. This was our third time and we will be back.

I came here with my dad. The food was amazing, I had the chicken gratin in sauce and cheese. So good! And the biscoff cheesecake which melted in my mouth. The staff was so nice and helpful. It’s dog friendly so I will come back with my pets. The music was good 😊

Fantastically attentive staff, with a large hat tip to the manager for his perfect table side manner, and his marshalling of his team.
Food was very good for the price, fresh and tasty.

The staff are pleasant and helpful.
My meal was well cooked and well presented, I thought the two little bowls one nicely roasted vegetables and the other with chips were a nice addition to the meal. They are happy to serve soft drinks.
The barrel of Risley Bark (water) outside was a very good way of making patrons and their pets welcome.
Well done all round.

Very nice and cozy place. Clean and welcoming atmosphere, pleasant staff. Good menu and to be fare a lot to choose from. Big portions and my fish pie was delicious. Bottomless salads with a la carte menu and if I would know that before I came I wouldn’t even order the starter as the main meal was huge. Not cheap but worth it. Very good experience, would definitely recommend and visit again when passing by.

Food is outstanding but a little pricey when choosing off the main menu, my advice is choose off the early meals menu with two courses. Well used pub and restaurant on the main Risley Road. Car park is a little small and inside could do with a little spruce up, especially the carpets. Well worth a visit, especially on a cold night with the open fires going. Staff are extremely friendly and make your visit special. I will return again
