Big portions and good food. We had the Brunch and scrambled eggs on toast and both were good. We also tried the Italian style pancakes which were soso good!

Highly recommend the spaghetti bolognese and chilli con carne. The food portions were very generous and well priced, food all tasted fresh. Usually quite busy especially at lunch time but that can only be a good thing!

Had a really nice meal here with my Mum. Linda is so lovely and just a great friendly aura about her which made our dining experience that much better… kitchen is really clean too and yummy food ! Will definitely be back :)

Beautiful food, freshly cooked, great flavour. Old women waitress quite grumpy with people she didn't know. But very friendly to regulars.

Food was very nice and hot,prices are absolutely spot on,very friendly and patient staff,also very helpful...space for 2 buggies/wheelchair,to mean there's little or no space for such.
Their omelete/pancakes/full English are really nice...im sure their other meals will be really nice.

I have to say , I enjoyed every single bite of the meal . Thankful to the staff and chief for making our day with good food , they are really very polite and calm with happy nature .
Can't wait to return and wouldn't not hesitate to recommend to anyone who wanna try the best food .

Used to come here with my parents as kid and still get decent food, good service at a reasonable price.

Been going to this cafe for donkeys years the food is amazing try their omlettes not had one as nice as this cafes. If in Romford pay it a visit but sometimes have to queue but not for long.

The Chilli Con Carne is to die for. One of the best I've ever had.

Food was nice and although the staff at the back were having a personal row, Linda who served us was really friendly and nothing was too much. I visited twice that week and on the second time, she was so kind to my mum who couldn't eat all her food so she packed it up for her to takeaway. Really lovely coffee. Pie wasn't so nice as it was a bit soggy and not fresh but the Cajun chicken was delicious.

Just had lunch with my partner at the Gingham Kitchen , servers helpful ,rip off prices ,check your bill and extras ,which seem to stack high at the time of paying. Wouldnt Recommend ,dont go there.Left feeling ripped off

This place will never die!!. As far back as I can remember, the Gingham Kitchen has always been there, and I can see it being arround for a lot longer to come.<br/>The Gingham Kitchen has also, amazingly, remained exactly the same for 20 years. The chairs, the lighting, the menus, look exactly how I remember it from being a kid.<br/>But what makes it so good? The closest competitor I can think of is Wimpy, but unlike a Wimpy, the Gingham has a very varied menu. From Grills to Salads, Italian to Chilli, prety much anything you could possibly want is on the menu. And some of it is quite simply bonkers. Chilli Con Carne with chips!! Madness.<br/>I believe this steadfast refusal to change, varied menu, and slightly different take on normal food will mean The Gingham is here for anther 20 years.
