We came in last week (Monday afternoon) and had a beautiful meal. Waitress was fantastic, food came quickly and the flavours were lush. And we managed all this with three children with us - aged 18 m - 11! I would recommend to other families and will be back!
Great service and lovely food, not been to the Romford one for a while and was surprised to see our same waiter from almost ten years ago still working there.

This pizza express in in a great location indoors in the brewery right near the cinema. I personally think its probably the best restaurant out of all the chains that sit up there.
Because it is so near to the cinema, it is often very busy, but mostly you can get a table.
The food is the same as you will find in all pizza expresses: sometimes, just like all the others, they can have a day where they get stingy on the toppings or very slow on the service.
The restaurant is large with ample room to move a wheelchair around...they have a disabled toilet and in fact the whole building is very wheelchair friendly.
Since finding their new gluten free pizza base, i have become a real fan. I love the giardiniera, the caprina rossa and the goats cheese and caramalised onion pizzas. As you can tell, i like mine without meat.
Pizza express is also great if you do the 5:2 and have fasting days. The Chicken and the salmon Leggera salad is a great choice and the only option I've found for eating out. They are both super tasty and you don't feel like you have missed out at all.
This was a bit of a treat lunch that was completely unplanned.
We had starters and mains, and everything was really tasty. We tried the new pizza on the menu which was also delish! Unfortunately had a bit of an issue where we think our pizzas were made too early and left on the side, because literally two minutes after putting our forks down from finishing our starters, the pizzas were brought over without even clearing the plates, and they were stone cold. We got fresh ones made which were spot on and exactly how we’d expected them.
We asked for some sauce to dip, and the waiter expressed they ‘didn’t do sauces’. He then proceeded to bring a ramekin of butter and one of pizza sauce over(?) for us instead, which felt a bit random.
Other than that, everything was really lovely, and we couldn’t fault the food at all. I even had a passion fruit sundae to finish which was so refreshing and light.

Always love pizza express due to their vast range of vegan options. Our server at the Romford branch Debra was incredible. I suffer with different medical conditions, one of which is nausea, especially if plates are left on the table (at home after eating they have to be removed immediately). Usually this can be a problem at restaurants, but Debra was so efficient in clearing the table once we had eaten, it really did make a big change! Very pleasant server.

Had a 15 minute intermission during a long film and Tom the legend managed to sort me out with pizza and dough balls with time to spare! Solid lad and service!
From start to finish it was just wonderful, warm welcome, picked where we wanted to sit, our waiter Jack was so smiley and attentive, food was absolutely delicious, downloaded the app, and the chefs waved goodbye to the kids which they loved! 10/10 fantastic! Never disappointed!
