Love the atmosphere, service and food. Reasonably priced, nicely presented and tasty. Staff always friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend a visit.

Great place to have your meal here bofere the show at The Forum Theatre. Very tasty food, picture is of a vegetarian halloumi and pineapple wrap, very friendly and attentive staff.

I was in platform one with my wife , 3 kids and 85 year old dad. One of your workers were exceptionally kind and even helped my less able father sit down and helped him to his seat. He was so kind, i think he had just gotten into work and was heading to the back when he saw us and decided to help us and talk to us , give us recommendations and had a nice conversation with my family, if this guy was a babysitter i would hire him immediately for the kindness he showed my children. We asked him for his name and he said joeseph poteus, this guy undoubtedly deserves a raise. Thanks Joe!

We came here for a birthday celebration. The staff were very friendly and created a welcoming atmosphere, despite having a very large group to cater for. The atmosphere is great. The food was delicious and you can tell it's home cooked, not zapped in the microwave.
I'd absolutely return to Platform 1.

Went today for the Sunday carvery, the food was excellent with generous portions, friendly, efficient staff.
However we didn't stay as long as we expected due to the background music being too loud along with the live 'music' outside, both clashing with sound.
Will be going again but not on a Sunday, even for the lovely food

What a beautiful public house. This place was once our local before we started travelling. It’s so warm, welcoming and friendly. Food is always amazing, with an introduction to a dog friendly area. Absolutely love this place. Come and see for yourself.

Would have been 5* but £2.75 for half a diet Coke is ridiculous!( In effect £5.50. a pint 😳) Great little pub, cosy and welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. Local Chadkirk beer at a very reasonable £3.70. a pint and half a shandy at £1.85.

Only 4 because the staff are so nice.
Booked for Mother's Day. The food was average. Portion sizes ok, could have been bigger. Bill wrong but they did correct it immediately when it was pointed out but it shouldn't have happened in the first place.
Will eat here agin as it is ok and nice to support local independent pubs but not my first choice.

Absolutely love this place. The food is delicious, prices are good and the portion sizes excellent. The staff are all friendly and efficient. We've booked to visit twice more in December!

First time visited today on friends recommendation. Great freshly made Sunday lunch. Large range of drinks. Nice friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely be returning.
