Quiet when we visited late morning, this popular pub was packed at 7pm. Interesting and large layout, with good selection of beers and friendly staff. Plenty of seating.
Edit to earlier review - menu has changed and there are now several options which can be customised for vegan so have changed my review to 5 from 4. Tomato salad starter was lovely. The staff were friendly. They looked busy but they were professional, patient and ensured customers were seen/served promptly. Food was beautifully presented and tested delicious. There were alot of people but the atmosphere was relaxed.
This is a lovely, old style, public house, with original wooden beams...neatly placed to bump, graze or bruise...any unwatching patron. Very friendly staff and a decent, if slightly expensive menu (but this is Romsey) make this an ideal location for that cosy meal for two, or that group of friends
