The Dearden Tea Rooms

I knew exactly what I wanted for my Mad Hatter's hen party and Andrea and the team at Dearden Tea Rooms achieved all that and more! Andrea was brilliant from start to finish in organising the hen party and the team on the day, from those creating the afternoon tea to the waitresses, provided food and service that was second to none. Andrea provided ideas, options and advice at the very beginning to ensure that my hen party would be perfect for me and the girls, she even took the time to call me personally to go through everything before I made any decisions. I opted for the Mad Hatter's Afternoon Tea Hen Party with me being a huge Disney fan and her organisation of the decor, the Mad Hatter herself and the drinks and food could not have been better. She booked out the private room upstairs which was ours for the afternoon. I provided a list of the girls' names in advance with their choice of drinks and all this was met without any trouble. Even the girls who asked for a drink other than tea or coffee had their drink ready for them as they arrived. The pink lemonade at the tea room is amazing! After one girl asked for this, the rest asked for one too! I had ordered the £17.50 afternoon tea for each girl and ordered separate bottles of prosecco myself to be served for those girls who fancied a glass. The afternoon tea is one of the nicest I have ever had and every girl had commented on how delicious it was; what a great variety of sandwiches there was and the choice of cakes and desserts. The raspberry macaron, chocolate tart and rhubarb and custard jar went down a treat with every single one of us - we highly recommend these! As the hen, the waitresses kept me updated the whole afternoon with what was happening and when, their attention to every girl there to ensure they had enough drinks and if they needed anything else was brilliant - they always had a smile on their face and nothing was too much trouble. Even after the 4pm closing time had passed, we were not pressurised to leave by exactly 4pm. The Mad Hatter that Andrea organised was absolutely fantastic; she was so much fun, interacted with every girl and provided surprises along the way. She made sure every girl was involved at all times and her knowledge of Wonderland and the goings on there was mesmerising! After searching for the perfect venue to host a fun, themed afternoon tea with great quality food and impeccable service, I could not have chosen anywhere better than Dearden Tea Rooms. Andrea, Dearden Tea Rooms and the team there are an absolute credit to the local area. I can't wait to go back again for afternoon tea and even lunch - I would highly recommend Dearden Tea Rooms for any event.

We had the traditional afternoon tea for three of us.. The food was lovely, me being someone with a more savoury tooth I'd prefer the choice of swapping one of the scones to be a scotch egg or meat pie. We ordered a portion of chips which were homemade like mummy used to make them and the onion rings amaze balls. We enjoyed our experience the atmosphere was just perfection

Went for the harry potter themed afternoon tea here today! Amazing hosts and delicious food. The soup was so yum, as were the treats! Especially the snitch shaped cake pops. Highlight of the event was the broomstick flying lesson 👌

Great stop here on our bike ride, the breakfast is fantastic, the coffee too. The service is very good even with our large party. Loved it.

Exceptional tearoom. Food, service and atmosphere all perfect.

Quaint place, nice food, one sandwich a little fried out but scones and cakes were lovely.
