Chips perfect and fresh, done in beef dripping. Fish perfect. Remember to add some scraps to your mushy peas. Salt and Vinegar your own food; Tip salt n Vinegar on top then close and flip box to salt n Vinegar underneath also.
This place is a real gem. The cod & chips was perfectly cooked and the sticky toffee pudding was amazing. Service was quick and very friendly. Incredibly good value, I’ll be back again when next in the area.
Whitbys fish and chips. Very busy chain. We were a table of 6, 4 adults and 2 children. They were friendly, the service was great. I thought the jumbo cod though was a bit over priced for the size of fish, the haddock was a similar fillet for the same price as the ordinary cod. The kids meals great value. Everyone was happy.
We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere — both were lovely. The place had a warm, welcoming vibe, and there were a few friendly, chatty waitresses around, which made for a pleasant experience. I was happy to return their smiles. …
Beautiful gluten free fish and chips. Felt like all staff were knowledgeable. A lovely selection of gluten free desserts too. The restaurant was busy, but we weren't waiting long at all.
We had regular haddock & chips with mushy peas. For afters, we had a traditional baked apple crumble with thick hot custard, washed down with a nice cuppa. Absolutely delicious. We definitely come back. The staff were so friendly without being over bearing. I highly recommend Whitby's. The best Fish & Chips in my humble opinion.
