Just started going back here recently and it is under new management which you can really tell. The manager is a super guy who is great with customers.
The place was full on a midweek night and they had a lovely entertainer doing Irish bingo.
The food was great and piping hot, and the service was fantastic.
The food came pretty quick considering it was so busy.
Will definitely be visiting more regularly now.

The waiting time for our main meal and desserts was a little longer than normal, but we were not in a particular hurry, but we did have to ask about our desserts. A party of 4 seniors, we meet there often for a meal and drinks, as it is midway to meet. We all enjoyed our meal yesterday and thanked the bar staff , and the chef, who was just coming out of the kitchen as we were leaving. The staff are always friendly and polite, with a smile, and ask if we need anything while they are passing tables, when delivering, or collecting from various tables. The conservatory is our favourite area, as it seems too dark around the seats nearer the bar area, although it has not stopped us from staying for a meal.
The service was friendly and the staff were lovely. The food was first class and good value for money. A very clean pub with a nice family atmosphere and welcoming staff. Many thanks to Joe, Isabel and Josh the chef for a great afternoon. Will definitely visit again.
We've been twice now. The landlord and all the staff are really helpful and friendly. The place has a really nice atmosphere. The food is AMAZING. The Goodfellas burger is the nicest burger I've ever had. Our new dinner spot. It's perfect .....
What a great pub the Homestead is now we have a great new manager, everything was perfect. The wait on food was only 20 minutes, for fresh food that's very acceptable, food was delicious, served by a lovely girl called Rachel. Smiles all around if you have not been for a while try it again you won't be disappointed.
We had breakfast here today, and the food was lovely and fresh and very good quality nothing had been skimped on and the toast 👌 best brown bread toasted I think I've ever had. There were a few people already enjoying their breakfast and a lot more came in whilst we were eating. The atmosphere lovely, clean and cared for, food delicious but Janet our lovely server and Joe the Mgr made the visit even more enjoyable, nothing was too trouble and you could see they enjoy their jobs the way they welcomed visitors in, good to see Homestead back in hub of the community. 😊
Had a lovely meal on Saturday night. Ended up staying until closing when some friends turned up unexpectedly 😊. Atmosphere was good, reasonable prices. Service wasn't the friendliest I've ever received, but certainly wasn't bad. Will return.
We visited with a disabled member. Our waitress Leanne was so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We will be back, it’s sadly rare to find disabled friendly places where you can relax as a family. So this little gem made my sons day.
Your app; specifically ordering! As we'd not used the app before, I processed our order but despite pinged by my bank & receiving an email - the app showed that our order was still sitting in the basket, so, checked it, got our discount for first time attendance.
Wait staff come over & says order processed twice! It then took us 45+mins to get our meals (our son got his first & finished by the time we got ours). We queried with wait staff about 35mins into wait...
We stayed for the Irish Bingo & Family Fortunes as it was half-term week & our 10 year old was allowed to stay up later. We left around 9.45pm - having been there since 6pm for dinner, desserts & soft drinks!
Staff were friendly, welcoming. Just a shame about the wait... a couple came in & sat behind us: ordered, ate & left before myself & hubby got our food!
Joe (Manager) & Janet (wait staff) sorted out the app order confusion & looked after us very well - will order at the bar next time & save all that fuss! Haha!
We were so impressed with 1 of the bar staff. Morgan is her name. She answers any questions, always on the go. Very polite & really gud customer service. Future landlady in the making
