Great food but watch out for early closing.
Two of us walked in at 2215 for a main course only sit down meal (having literally just passed the previous customers as they walked away after their meal) to be told it was takeaway only - the hours on Google are advertised as a 2300 finish. We were looking forward to a curry so decided to go ahead & order with the intention of finding a dry spot in town to eat the meal. We ordered the chicken tikka chamakchola which came with pilau rice & to be fair, it was very good - just a shame we couldn't dine in especially seeing as we'd eaten our food & got back to our hotel by 2300.

Decent food.
Decent prices.
Slow inattentive yet friendly service.
No alcohol license, but BYOB with corkage allowed.
Starters of mince samosas and a prawn poori were average. mince lacked flavour and could have been warmer, but it was edible. Bread for poori was light, sweet sauce on the poori was the same sweet sauce on the chick peas that accompanied the samosas. Nice enough.
Mains were much better and would entice us back.
Lamb in my lamb achari was tender and tasty. The sauce had the perfect amount of lime pickle and garlic.
The chicken chasni had heaps of tasty tender chicken in a sweet red sauce.
Rice and naan were perfect.
Server and cook/owner were very friendly, but not what I'm looking for in a restaurant.
I want good speedy service. Took 20 minutes to get the bill then another 15 to take the money to pay it.
I've learned that's life on Bute. Other restaurants are similar!
Takeaway, so can't comment on atmosphere..but we had special chicken tikka biryani and original chicken korma both delicious and ready on time
