Had a christening party here. The owner of the pub was very friendly and helpful. We had the hot pie buffet that was provided by the pub, the portions were good and the pies tasted great with all sides included. The room was free of charge and the deposit given back the next day with no issues. Thanks for a great day

Went for a birthday party so couldn't comment on food . Toilets nice and modern which was a pleasant change for a pub that looks quite ordinary on the outside.

Needed to find pub to watch a match when in area. Other pubs showing cup game. Phoned and landlord said he'd put it on. Stayed for food. Superb steak, onion, mushroom and cheese baguette with salad and fab chips. Fantastic value. Friendly service. Many thanks!

Attended venue with a group for a Luncheon meal, the quality of various the menu options available served was to a high standard, & excellent value for money. Staff very efficient, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I can strongly recommend this establishment and will definitely return again.

It has been over ten years since I last visited the Haggate. In that time I have to say it has improved from a basic 'estate pub' to truly being a pub for all. It now offers food as well as good JW Lees cask ales. Nice, friendly atmosphere, a most welcoming house. Recommended.
